Catchy title, eh?

For those of you who have swapped in the stock subwoofer housing, do you happen to recall how big the nuts and screws are for mounting the housing to the chassis? There appears to be 2 nuts at the bottom and 2 screws at the top. If Ford is following their typical methods, I would expect that they are 10mm heads (8mm threads?), but any insight would be great so I can get them before tearing my panels apart to mount the sub enclosure.

Did you ever find out the nut/bolt size and thread pitch? I will be installing a Trail Seven amp kit in this location soon and my Bronco did not come with a factory sub so I have no hardware here. Hoping I can get this hardware ready before I take the panel off for the install.

I would bet m8x1.25 (many, many bolts are this size on the Bronco) - flange bolt and all 4 locations were the same bolt (although a regular bolt + washer would do fine) -- if memory serves,

Just guessing though - been almost 2 years since I had mine out last.

The two bottom studs are welded to the body and are M6.

The top two are blank you won't have anything to bolt onto. From the factory they're captured nuts and bolts. Part numbers for those:
  • W718785-S439
  • W711973-S439
Part numbers came from the description on my video that's two years old, so they may no longer be correct. Sometimes old parts get retired and replaced by new parts and I don't have the time/desire to keep it all up to date. But if you can't find them, your dealer should be able to figure out what the new part numbers are.

If I remember correctly it was 10mm socket and ratchet wrench.

Dude... You are quite literally the best thing that's happened to the Bronco community since Holman-Moody-Stroppe or Parnelli Jones.

Thank you for being a badass wealth of knowledge.
