I don't like the look of that at all. Looks like an error box popped up on an otherwise promising interface.
Yea it kinda has a 3D aspect to it like a pop out window on a computer. Maybe it looks better in person though.

I am completely spoiled by my digital speedo on my Grand Cherokee. Whenever I drive an analog speedo vehicle, it feels like I am going back in time.

That being said, I do prefer an analog tach, so would love to see that combo instead of the redundant speedo to the left of the screen.

My CX-5 has a HUD that shows speed, speed limit, stop signs, nav directions, lane departure, warnings for blind spot and auto braking, and cruise control info. This is the first vehicle I've owned with one and I really like it. Would have been a really cool option on the Bronco to have all that in front of you - thinking about the virtual display gauges showing tilt angles, drive mode, GOAT modes, lockers etc.
Yep, loved the HUD on my Acadia... Until I had to replace the windshield. Over $900 ten years ago due to the ultra-thin gold foil used as the reflective surface. Still it's a great feature.

Really? Are you planning to race the Bronco? I can understand when first starting out but you learn by feel when to shift. I can tell you I RARELY look at RPMs when shifting a manual. After a bit, the old butt dyno kicks in and you figure out where the motor likes to be.

The old YJ just gets wrapped out before I shift anymore but that’s with a T18. LOTSA space between those gears.
Agree, that vertical numberless RPM bar is not ideal for a manual.

Since I'm getting the MT, I actually wish the tach was analog and speedo was digital. Hopefully they have a nice analog-looking tach that can be displayed all the time on the screen.

Peeps appear to be confusing center touch screens with instrument panels. Instrument panels are traditionally behind your wheel, AKA gauge cluster.
Sometimes I think peeps are just out to increase their post count? ?

I find it weird that they give so much digital real state to MPH given that we have a full time speedometer right there. If we do get this cluster standard, Im sure there will be plenty of templates to choose from.

Maybe config a big ol’shift light into the display or a seat vibrator like some of those lane departure systems have.

In some applications the tachometer is more for entertainment purposes. But the last time I had a car with a turbo I would use the tach a lot. Mostly to make sure I was just below the kick-in point before I downshifted to "merge" onto the highway. If I read correctly, all 6G Broncos will have at least one turbo.

In Ranger Lariat it gets their version of the info screens with LCD to the left and right of the analog speedo (in center), it's helpful that the split screens are controlled by steering wheel buttons on their respective side of the wheel.

That being said, the digital cluster in Bronco has been a selling point for me and looks great. While I do prefer an analog speedo (especially at low speeds such as offroading), I wish they would finally go back to the direct linkage of a transmission gear driven speed spring.

The joys of finding the right toothed speedo gear for your wheel and tire size was exhilarating!

I'm REALLY hoping adjusting for tire size is a quick electronic process. I suppose it would be too much to ask for it to just be a menu item somewhere. More likely an OBDII task.
