Don't say that! My wife is saying we should leave it that way. My OCD would result in my developing a twitch after detailing it a few times!
It's unique. I would absolutely keep it. Make videos, instagram and twitter posts about it and copy Ford. They might want to buy it from you at some point? :) By far the most expensive pennies are those with strike errors. People in the future will find your seats unique. I say keep it!

As the owner of a Badlands with Black Vinyl interior and a rare Navy Pier driver's seat back, this is blowing my mind.....
IMG_6458.jpg
This reminds me when I took delivery of my '77 Firebird, one bucket seat was velour and the other was vinyl, how does no one notice that. It was supposed to be vinyl, when I asked the salesman about fixing that he asked me which one would you like for the replacement, vinyl or velour? I said vinyl because all the other seats were vinyl but when I look back at it I should have taken the velour since it was a $$ option. :)

Perhaps you need to find the guy who has a OBX with a black seat back and swap. :ROFLMAO:

my guess it was probably noticed, but there was an "F It, somebody else's problem" attitude.

I'm sure it was either a high/drunk employee, or an "Ah F It" attitude.

I don't know that the "F it" attitude was on Ford, though. I strongly suspect this is more on the supplier as the seats are installed in the vehicle wrapped in plastic, and I can easily see that not being noticeable when installing. Regardless, they need to update their PFMEA!

I said the same thing in my delivery thread. Somewhere there's someone with a Navy Pier interior rocking my black vinyl seat back!

The seats are covered with plastic on the assembly line, so a mismatch might not be as obvious as you'd think. Plus, two different workers installing the seats, one from each side. Still shouldn't happen though.

If the door photo isn't fake, the original door probably had a major structural defect (improper welding/fit) so it was replaced with an orphan door. Ship it and Let the dealer paint it.

When I get my EG, who wants to swap out CO front doors and RR rear doors. Or maybe all 4 doors different colors. How easy is it to switch the rest hatch? Then down the road when the color matched hard tops are available we can switch panels.

This could be fun.

The modern day version of the mouse in a pepsi bottle. I think it is a door swap and a seat back swap.

I can assure you I did NOT swap the seat back. It's exactly how it came from the factory/dealership.
