I am wanting to flat tow my Bronco, but I am also wanting to install a winch. The base plates I have found install where the tow hooks mount which is also where a winch would mount and from my inquires have been told I can’t have both installed at the same time. I have a modular bumper and would love to just add a winch mount with a base plate but am not finding this option. I have found two bumpers that have a winch mount and attachments for flat towing. These are LOD Offroad and Rock Hard 4x4. I’m wondering if anyone has come up with other options for flat towing with a winch. I have searched for flat towing but have not found anything specific to having a winch also. Thank you

I looked into to this for the same reason. It did look like the rough country high mount would be able to bolt up to the blue ox base plates. You would also want to get one of the frame horn enforcement kits. I held off on the winch idea for now hoping to see better systems in the future. Just sticking to flat towing for now

I also talked to several manufacturers of bumpers including the major ones and none of them would recommend their bumper for flat towing so get it in writing.

I've thought about welding some angle iron to the Blue Ox inserts that mate to the tow bar. Then drill holes into the angle iron pieces to mount a plate of steel to those which the winch would mount to.
