Head unit resets repeatedly

The head unit (AV unit) on my 2024 Big Bend is resetting itself every few minutes. I tried doing a factory reset, tried a Ford Connect reset, and apparently that didn’t help. It doesn’t matter whether my phone is connected or not. Doesn’t matter whether it’s driving or parked. The behavior is generally the same: The UI goes dark, then after 20 seconds or so it reboots. It seems to do this repeatedly until it just stays dark. If I’m using Apple CarPlay, the Ford UI around CarPlay goes dark first.

I have had my car for exactly one year yesterday, when it started doing this. I also get a Nav error. Maybe they’re related? What does using Nav show you when it has expired and you have not renewed?

My dealer is two hours north, so I may renew Nav just to see if that fixes it. Appreciate other suggestions. Thanks.

If I can’t get this fixed, it’s going to be a huge pain.

Sounds like a hardware (driver?) issue. Take it in for service.

Yeah I’ve heard of a few APIMs get replaced around here and this sounds like it’s headed in that direction.
