Yea, I misunderstood the difficulty of the trail. That area and one other where the two that I wish I had taken those off for, but really the entire run. Will not make that mistake again.… running with the steps still on
Didn’t think they can take a hit?
Brown Mountain is pretty fun. Definitely had some moments myself the last time I was out there. Might hit that this weekend...been meaning to get out there again.Yea, I was a bit misled on the difficulty of the trail. That area and one other where the two that I wish I had taken those off for, but really the entire run. Will not make that mistake again.
My understanding, one of our trail guides had stood his truck up on its nose, requiring a new front bumper earlier running that trail. Again, I heard about that after I got through that area. >shrugs<. Lesson learned. Actually, only rubbed, not bad, as in can't tell unless you rub your hand across it, the passenger side step. Underside bash plates took a few bounces though. Brown Mountain, NC trail is rocky.
Was only there during the day. Live about 45min away. So, I did not camp.Did you see the brown mountian lights?
BTW, Fonta Flora has their Farm brew pub right around the corner. Worth a pint afterwards to relax the jitters!Headed up to Brown Mountain tomorrow. Looked like a fun ride...
