My Bronco has currently has 4 open recalls. It’s pretty much unsellable. Used broncos will continue to plummet in resale because they are not a good vehicle. Buy a Toyota.

Seems to me the new gen Tacoma and tundras have their share of issues. Toyota is no longer the Toyota of old. I’ve been an almost lifelong Toyota owner, oldest was a ‘79 fj40 and I’m no Ford fanboy but there’s no way I’d buy a new Toyota thinking it was mechanically superior to a Bronco.

OK...So we just sold/traded our Bronco and here's my take...
  • Not harder to sell than any other vehicle (probably easier, in fact, because of limited years of recent production and emotional buyers...like most of us here).
  • KBB has had accuracy issues ever since the pandemic. It's great to reference when it overvalues your car, but don't set your expectation there.
  • Carmax/Carvana are easy, but they will LOWball you.
  • If going private sale:
    • KeySavvy is REALLY nice to eliminate scammers and offer legit buyers a sense of security.
    • Bronco6g Listings don't seem to generate much traffic unless you're willing to give your Bronco away because you have an emotional attachment or want to pay something forward.
    • Facebook Marketplace will generate a lot of looky-Lous, a few low-ball dealer trade offers, and--if you're lucky--a few reasonable offers.
    • Local car meets generate passing interest and--again--you may get lucky.
  • Finally, don't rule out trade-in or selling to a dealer that's low on inventory...
    • It shocked the heck out of me, but one of the best offers came from a dealer on Facebook based out of central PA. They were AWESOME to work with and even offered to send their buyers group to pick up and handle paperwork from our house. Their deal on our Bronco (and our Cayenne) was so good that we just traded them in. After the tax benefits, we barely got less than we would have (reasonably) expected in private sale. Still really surprised & impressed. I added their info to our B6g For Sale listing if anyone wants it in the future. Great people (Please only tell them FormerRotor with the Cayenne+Bronco Trade sent you IF you're going to be good to them...awesome people).
