I never use cruise control when there’s a ice possibility. It’ll catch you by surprise in a hurry

maybe 4A adjusted traction right when you hit the ice

As soon as the Bronco detects it going sideways or spinning, it'll kill the cruise. But yeah, it'll still give you a surprise!

Ok, here's a thought. I have the lane keeping system on my Bronco. I wonder if when I hit the ice it activated and tried to move me over. It sure felt like something was moving me around. Maybe it's best to turn that off in icy conditions.

My brother in law has a big shed full of shiny tow trucks for people that believe cruise control can react faster than physics. When the temperature is near freezing and the road is wet always expect bridge decks on ramps and off ramps to be slippery. Best advice slow down or better yet stay home

I accidentally turned the lane keeping on in my plow truck a couple times it definitely doesn't like snow covered roads but I don't know that it corrects your place in the lane

i don’t ever remember the lane keeper in the bronco nudging.
it definitely shakes the wheel.
my vw, on the other hand, is much more aggressive.
a family member asked if the vw was self steering.
reminded her to use the blinkers when shifting lanes!

The lane keeping system, when active, on our Bronco WILL push it back toward the middle of the lane. After a couple times of this it starts giving warnings but continues to try to keep you in the lane.

As opposed to my truck, which does NOT have lane keeping but rather lane departure warning (even though the symbols are the same), so it just vibrates the wheel.
