Yikes. That aluminum isn’t as tough as steel. We’re just north of you in Bartlesville. We’ve missed those storms so far.

Ya we got hit in may fixed it then got hit again in July, I'm waiting to fix again as the aluminum hoods do bad with hail!

It was the only storm in the state when it popped up. Some Freda hail stones the size of bricks. It was as bad as I have ever seen and it centered on Henryetta, bad part is the main storms are just now firing up west of here!

I saw some footage of that hail storm on the Weather Channel earlier today. I had my Bronco less than a week and we had a hail storm pop up in NJ in Feb, that never happens in NJ that time of the year. I was lucky that it was smaller than pea size so no damage. Then we got hit with another hail storm 3 weeks later and the same thing, small enough to be no damage. Hopefully your insurance handles it ok and you can find a good hood vs trying to repair that one.

Those happened all too frequently when I lived in West Texas. There was a PDR shop on every street corner out there. Hope you get it fixed ok.

Did you zoom in on those pics? Jeez there's soooo many dents. What would even be the cost of fixing hundreds if not thousands of dents? At what point do you just replace the whole hood?

I feel bad for those get get caught in these hail storms. It's my nightmare but luckily I live somewhere that doesn't get them.

Been there done that. I’m on my third hail event on my Escape. One time it looked like someone went crazy with a ball peen hammer. The aluminum hoods definitely take more of a beating than the steel roof (Escape). I was devastated the first time as the Escape was only two weeks old. Came out perfect after PDR and yes, it was several hundred dents.

That really sucks. Was at my daughter's house about a week ago and heard a warning on TV. Left immediately and came home for garage. Try PDR

So sorry! PDR is great; may even come to your house. Take an abundant amount of pictures for the ins company. We were in Wyoming in August a few years back with 2 new Harleys and got nailed with a freak hail storm. Totaled the custom paint! Put pieces of tape with arrows to each dent with pictures and the ins covered the cost of all new metal! Worth your time.

I wonder what hail does to fiberglass hoods. Crack paint and fiberglass or no?
