I worked late last night, much later than normal and the outside sourced cleaning dude was in. I've seen him before and he asked about the Bronco and if I still liked it as he didn't see it in the lot. I have talked with him in passing before and he is nice enough. He is an older dude, early to mid 50's but looks like a late 60 year old that works out. He also drives a pimped out V6 challanger with hellcat stickers and a giant wing. Anyway he asked me which engine I had and I told him the 2.3. To which he quickly retorted "you mean the 5oooh!" There was some minor back and forth and I didn't feel like getting sucked in but he told me, in no uncertain terms that: 'i have no idea what I'm even drvin' and dey only come wit the 5oooh and da 6-2. So I must have the base smaller one.'

Silly me. 🤷
Older dude here I guess. You forgot to mention that his v6 challenger would still waffle stomp your 2.3 bronco. My older babe wife owns one and it will beat my bronco

What does that have to do with anything? That’s like saying my old motorcycle would dimple dork my v8 mustang.

Well it seems that you made a special effort to point out his styling points of the car he was driving to belittle him. So he had some info wrong on your vehicle which he asked about big deal let it go

When people looking in mine they are more amazed it a manual trans, transmission, is pretty fun with the 2.3
I do love a manual transmission but I am old you know we lose hand to eye coordination I probably wouldn't know if I'm clutching or braking or what gear I'm trying to find.

Pops, using a manual would prevent that coordination from slipping to begin with.

I know several track instructors for both Porsche and BMW who ware well over 60 and can heel/toe with the best of them. Most were former race car drivers and they‘ve still got it even though a few don’t have the eyesight any longer. Sure they‘ve lost a step or two, but I’d never challenge any of them.

Wanna keep that blood pumping, then keep that blood pumping. Get what I mean? ;)

I may have been being facetious. I still have to shift my 2.3L/4.6L mustang.

Wait, you guys didn't opt for the Rolls Royce Griffon 101 in your Bronco? I figured that's the only reason to buy a Bronco these days. Not only will it do a wheelie, it'll lift the driver side tires off the ground when you rev it up in neutral.
