GRUMPSTER Bronco did it again

Well I attended another car show today with my Pop's at Seminole City Center, called Corvettes vs All Makes and Models. Well I'm glad to say that Grumpster took Overall Best of Show in my division. My Pop's got a trophy also for his Camaro. Great day, great weather and a great father and son event.

Congrats to both you and your dad. Wish mine was still alive to see mine. That assumes I’ll still be alive by the time it gets here. He worked for Ford for nearly 40 years. He loved his cars. Several Lightning’s and a Marauder. He sold the Marauder because it wouldn’t spin the wheels in his driveway.

Yes sir! Someone mentioned in a comment in last weeks thread after I won saying now go get that thing dirty. I was thinking to myself, how I would very much like to go out and get it muddy. But, I am keeping it clean as best as possible so i can spend as much time with my Pop's doing these car shows, and I pay each week to have it detailed for these shows. And that is more important right now then enjoying some off-roading. There will be plenty of time down the road to satisfy myself in that manner. But knowing how much this means to my Pop's doing this together, out weights any selfish ambition I may have. I will not have any regrets when the time comes when he is no longer with me. We do a selfie together at each show so I can email it to him. He prints it out and puts it in a photo binder so he can reflect time spent together. Who can say no to that? He pre-pays 6 months in advance for the car shows, everyone knows him. Each week after a show he will say well I hope I can make the next show. I don't say anything to this comment but lets get it done next time. His car and these shows gives him drive to keep pushing himself. So I am the passenger with each and every adventure, where he goes, I will follow.

My Dad had a ‘64 Lyman Islander 28 Hardtop. He would do similar by hitting all the boat shows in northeast Ohio. He loved having us all there for those. Especially the part where we shined her all up.

I hear ya I’m not getting it dirty. Would probably take me 3 days to get my nooks and crannies clean enough for a show.
