With so many in line with Granger I would just reorder a MY23 from another dealer.

Kind of late to bail now, in my opinion.
This is a good point. I was shopping the 4xe last December when ADM environment was totally different. You can buy a Bronco at MSRP today if you want one. It smells like OP was more interested in doing business with Zach than purchasing a Bronco. If someone was truly happy with their purchase it doesn’t make sense to spend this much energy defending it 🤔

Congrats on the new ride. IMO what you did makes a lot more sense than the guys waiting 5+ years at Granger.

Just wondering if you searched around for dealer stock or an abandoned order. The ADM days are quickly dying and you can get something at MSRP if you are willing to cast a wide net. Considering you placed an order in Iowa I figured that wouldn’t be a problem lol.

Best of luck with the Jeep. I was going to order a 4Xe if my order didn’t come through. Just got lucky although I have to admit I love my OBX a lot more.
No, we didn’t look. Punk’n doesn’t exist on lots, that was the only color besides maybe green she would have accepted. I prefer to order because the discount is 4-6 under invoice and I can get exactly what I want without unnecessary add one and packages jacking up the price

With so many in line with Granger I would just reorder a MY23 from another dealer. Especially with such a base build. The ONLY reason the OP hasn't been built is because it's in a priority line at the dealer that ordered a LOT of broncos. When I ordered in '21, I chose to go with my local dealer, what is a $1500 discount these days anyway, and had it scheduled same week. I was exactly 6 months to delivery (original build week 2/14, pushed 5 times to 5/2), but I ordered a stock 2.3 OBX soft top, only adding keyless pad and aux switches. I did jump others ahead of me at my dealer because they had constraints. My salesperson did tell me that. I think this should be a realistic time frame for a MY23 if you order a basic build from a dealer that doesn't have a ton of orders in the que. Kind of late to bail now, in my opinion.
My wife wanted a 2 door Badlands 2.7, not a basic build. As for the rest of what you said…why on earth should I have to re-order somewhere else (which isn’t even currently possible), lose price protection and the discount Granger offered because Ford wants to change the rules 3 months after I changed dealers in 2020? Maybe the rest of you think jumping through hoops and catering to Ford’s asinine rules is fun. I’m the customer, they should be jumping through hoops for me. When I switched dealers, there was less than 100 orders at Granger. How was I to foresee 1,200 people would follow me? Or that Ford would change the allocation formula, f up the hard top, incentivize the soft top and give the middle finger to Granger and 2 door orders? I’m not taking the blame for the fact a 26 month old reservation can’t be given a vin. F that.

When I can order a Gladiator Mojave in September 2021 and have it built, shipped and ready to be picked up in 30 days to a tiny little dealer in the middle of nowhere Tennessee it tells me the issue is Ford, not Granger. Tons of tiny dealerships sell hundreds of Jeeps because Jeep prioritizes customer orders, not dealerships.

“MSRP”

Dang this guy cracked the code. I’m a secret agent for Grangers, customer satisfaction advertisement division. When I ordered the Bronco and switched it to a dealer I never heard of, with a guy I’ve never met in a state I’ve never been to he hired me for that role.

Or he’s been honest and offers good Jeep deals so I decided after 26 months to use him for a Jeep order.

Don't blame you one bit. If I didn't already owned a low miles Wrangler, I would've done the same thing, even with the new Wrangler being more expensive than the Bronco.
There are so many Ford cult followers here that wouldn't surprise me if this thread was deleted.

It’s weird huh? Lol. We’ve waited longer than almost anyone and people who skipped the line are trying to tell me we didn’t really want one. Wait 26 months with no end in sight and tell me it’s worth it. I know who I won’t be saving from the trail when they break their tie rods. 😉

I'm in the same boat. 9/18/20 order date, still no even a scheduled build date. Contacted the dealer, they're in the dark on it too. Bought a 21 Ranger XLT as a stop-gap. It's frustrating that a buddy of mine has ordered 3 Bronco's in early 2022 and all of them have been built and shipped, whereas my Base 2-door hardtop with the only option being switch panels has been waiting for nearly 26 months.
Same here waiting on a Base and seeing people who ordered a years after me drive my rig! Hating Ford at this point. Now I remember why it has been 30 years since I bought a Ford!

To be fair and honest he and many others made the reservation/order with Granger based on Fords stated plan to fill orders based on when they were reserved. It wasn't until after Ford wouldn't allow you to switch dealers (another Ford lie) that it became apparent that Ford was favoring their larger dealers and using allocations to limit dealers that offered a good price without screwing customers. I and the OP made our decisions based on what Ford had published as their policy for filling Bronco orders. Ford has done nothing but lie and change their policies to benefit large dealers charging big ADMs. I and many others trusted Ford to do what they stated. With perfect hindsight and knowing you can't trust anything Ford says it was obviously a bad decision to go with certain dealers. It's rather pretentious to blame the person that believed what Ford was saying. If anyone needs your scorn it's Ford Motor Company.
Anyone who believed Ford would ship all their Broncos to BFE really should have known better.

Granger got a lot of orders, but it's hardly all, maybe around 1%. I was skeptical of Granger, but 2 things convinced me to place an order with them:

-Their honesty and contributions to the community. It was clear they wanted to earn our business.
-Ford's statement that orders would be filled in reservation timestamp order.

The second point is what put me over the hump so if a Granger order was a mistake, I place most of the blame on Ford.

I did because Albert was awesome and I was one of the first like 100 people. How was i supposed to have any idea what the future was going to be. They’ve been great the entire way.

Anyone who thinks, “it’s the customers fault,” is a good argument is a moron. If Jeep can send Jeeps to any dealer regardless of size or sales, Ford can. They refuse to.

I don't blame you, but I think it was obvious the model wasn't sustainable when small dealerships in BFE started getting so many orders based on deals. I mean, did anyone really expect Ford to abandon their large operations in places like Dallas, Houston, California, etc. for small towns in Iowa? And I always say, you can have 2 of the 3: cheap, fast, and quality. Fast is the one missing with Granger, et al.

I guess I don’t understand why it would matter to ford where the broncos they send out are sold. What does it matter to them if the bronco is sold in Houston or sold in BFE? Every bronco they send out will be sold regardless of where it is in the country. The big dealerships have every opportunity to match or beat Grangers offerings.

Trust me, I have no idea what the hell is going on. But I'm comforted by knowing that there are people who ordered in August 2020 and still haven't been scheduled.
There is a difference between reserving the option to order a Bronco and actually placing that Order…. I may be wrong but i dont recall anyone being able to actually order a new Bronco anytime in 2020.

Reserved September 18th 2020
Converted to an order 2/21/21
Since no action was taken, it automatically was rolled over to a MY22 order, where it sat.
Converted to an order again just a couple weeks ago and rolled back over to a MY23.

As of posting this, I am on Day 778 since placing my order, and day 622 since the first order confirmation. But who's counting?

This is the question we’ve been asking for the past year and a half. Ford has repeatedly told us to F off and it’s our fault. Jeep builds customers orders regardless of dealer.
