Price Carvana offered me dropped 5k in 1 1/2 week (was curious, not selling)

Some of this is the time of the year too. Normally (again- NORMALLY), the line in the sand to switch to a new vehicle year is right around now. So your 2022 is now a year old vs the current model. Yes, the 2023s aren’t out yet, but they build in logic in these offers that don’t always take into account build dates pushed and so on.

On top of that, many of these algorithms factor in the market health for the area. Once rates rose, it slowed down buying power. Throw that all into a computer and you’ll see a drop in offers. They have to make profit and they can’t go day to day. They factor in 30 days ahead (or more). Be honest with yourself- would more people want a 2022 right now or wait a few weeks to get a 2023 for the same or lower price?

I have a ‘22 OBX with 8400 miles on it, with leather, front seats are all power and we find them very comfortable. We just did about 500 miles in a day trip last week and didn’t feel the need to stop and get out to stretch our legs. These seats and the ride are far better than the Bronco Sport OBX I had. Even though it’s on the Ranger chassis, which I owned also, it is roomier inside and we feel rides better too.

I find the Bronco seats extremely comfortable. I do wish the MGV seats were perforated and offered a ventilation option because those suckers don't breathe at all. The faux-leather (vinyl) seats in my VW are much better in that regard.

Spent the day at the Off-Roadeo, seat was super comfortable. Can't wait to spend many more miles in a Bronco... one day.

Man that’s a bummer for you they are plenty of fun. But I don’t blame you. No sense in keeping something that you can’t enjoy. We did 1000 miles this weekend over 5 hours in the trails and no issues. We have the leather electric seats tho. My dealer offered my 6k over msrp. I thought about it for a minute then drove home (was in for warranty work) remembered how much I liked it and ordered 37’s lol. Told him nope it have to be $60k if he was serious (msrp which.m I payed was just over 51k) and then I’d still have to think about it.

If a maverick and a Volvo are your replacement then maybe a purpose built offroader isn't right for your life style in the first place, you can mall crawl in anything. Yeah, not everyone is built the same, so what is comfortable to one person could not be to someone else. I forsee lots of people doing this same exact thing, if they aren't in it for the off roading, the novelty will wear out fast if your used to unibody vehicles.

Im slightly over 2k miles now with multiple road trips including a border wait of 5.5 hours. Blessed to have gone with the leather seats. I and the other passangers all agree... even heard that back seat is comfy too. OBX has been great so far.

My literal only complaint about the car is that taking the roof off with the roof rails is a real time consuming pain. But thats just dependent on my mood/ laziness for the task.

Funny how different people are on this. I've got nearly 10k miles on my BB with the cheap seats and love them.

you are not getting a new 23 in a few weeks , you might be able to order one but you're not getting one for at least a year / 9 months ?

Not saying you’ll get it in a couple weeks. Saying the computer algorithms will factor it in to the price offer. Remember, it also benefits them to anticipate low anyway.

I really think the bottom is about to drop out soon on everything. Demand will fall rapidly when rates get high enough and people start sitting on their money because of recession incoming.

Don't disagree but to be clear, a recession is not incoming, it's already here. Two consecutive quarters of negative GDP has ALWAYS been the definition of a recession. Last Thursday's report confirmed the 2nd quarter, just like the 1st quarter, GDP contracted.

I haven't heard anyone complain about the seats being uncomfortable. I think they are very comfortable. To bad you didn't give them more of a chance than 100 miles.

One of the reasons I can't wait to get my Bronco and get rid of my '21 ZR2 Bison, is the seats in the Bison are way too firm - very uncomfortable for long rides, but both test drives I've done in 2 different Broncos blew me away with how comfortable the seats are. I'm not a small dude either, I'm a portly (old word for 'fat') 215 lbs at 6'0, and I do have neck issues (I broke my neck in a mountain biking accident about 20 years ago), so comfortable seats are important to me. I'm surprised you found them uncomfortable.

We find the seats very uncomfortable as well. But I would of gave them more than 100 miles before selling.
