I bought a Micro2 fuse tap to add a radar detector, and have run the cord to the fusebox below the steering wheel. When I plug the Micro2 fusetap in, it fits in the hole but just falls out. It looks identical to the fuses already in there. I tried plugging the fuses themselves in and they also fit but won't stay. It's almost as if they are 1% too small. Anyone had a similar experience?

What fuse number are you using in the fuse box? Is it possible you’re using a spare slot that isn’t actually powered, and doesn’t have the terminals to hold a fuse in?

I found a single 5 amp fuse in that box that’s a spare. It is active with the ignition. I use it to power a couple of my accessories.

It’s in the lower left hand corner area.
