I’m looking for a way to protect the front shock studs and nuts that protrude through the lower control arm. I’ve found several that offer complete skid plates for the lower control arm that protects these bolts. I’m not sure I want to add unsprung weight to the suspension. What I’d like to do is just put protection around the stud and nut. I’d call it a cone washer, (some might call it a bolt head protector) that surrounds the stud with a sloped surface to not catch rocks. I’ve seen smaller version of this but I need something to go around a 12mm bolt with an inside dimension of at least 28mm to clear a 21mm socket and that’s at least 23mm high. I know I can put another nut on the stud to protect the threads, but that won’t keep the stud from getting bent.
Does anyone know where I might such a “cone” washer?
Here’s a bolt head protector that shows the concept of what I’m looking for, only bigger

Thank you so much!
I just ordered it. The description was a little lacking (it didn’t say what size bolt it fit, or how many in the package)

Best way to do it would be to get rid of the studs. Buy some bolts and go through the bottom with a cone/skid plate washer on bolt head/bottom side.

Replace the stock studs for bolts and flip them over.

I tried to link at the 2:50 mark, but I have DV8 A-arm skids and that fully protects them.

Nice, report back what you think of them.
A little update: so far they have survived the Winter 4x4 jamboree in Sand Hollow park in Hurricane Utah (4- runs rated 4-6), Death. Valley, and several local runs. It doesn’t appear they have taken any hard direct hits, but they are holding up. I doubt they will take many hard direct hits, but it appears they will protect the bolt pretty well, and they are inexpensive.
