Front Facing 2" Receiver Hitch by X Rack

I just came across these guys on Facebook yesterday.

They make a front-facing hitch for the G6 Bronco if you have a high-mounted winch bracket.
In less than 24 hours, I received the hitch and it looks solid.
Good steel, good welds, good powder coating, good hardware, a free koozie, and free overnight shipping.
I have the RC high winch mount but have not installed it yet because I'm still looking for reinforcement brackets.
I just wanted to give these guys a shout-out for a high-quality American-made product.

With a 350lb weight limit it has some limitations. Would love to see a front receiver amount that you can attach a winch to.

I was thinking it could be used for surf fishing setup (bait/fish cooler, rods, etc.) I suppose someone could mount a bike rack. Personally, I like the idea to be used in conjunction with the Adventure Hammock mount. I've avoided buying it as I still need access to my rear gate while lounging on the beach for a siesta.

Certainly for cargo, camping gear, coolers, fishing rigs etc. Certainly wouldn't use it for rescue when there's a winch and shackles at hand.
Once a year, I trek down to OBX from upstate NY with my F150 with a rear cargo carrier, a front cargo carrier, and a Thule coffin on top of the truck. Won't be able to load out as I do with the pick-up but it's nice having the option for front and rear baskets for road trips/camping and OBX. That being said, I'll probably swap out the 4 bolts for industrial grade.

Don’t get me wrong it’s at a reasonable price and adds some utility it’s just not what I’m looking for.

You got me excited that this might be a rugged receiver to mount my removable 12,000 lb winch for recovery use. Obviously, this is a different product, but good for those who have installed a winch bracket and want to add racks and accessories to the front.

This idea of a front mounted hitch should be viewed as a very limited use item to drive with . I would be concerned about blocking any in coming cooling air for any turbo powered engines! Just my concern. Detrimental to longevity.

how did the hitch work out. i have mine just have not found a high winch mount that would work on the capable bumper.

any body running this on anything other than ford high winch mounts. Not paying 3500 for fords set up. I have picked up a modular bumper take off. Trying to find a similar winch mount to put the x rack receiver on. I want to get surf rod rack up front again.

I just ordered one. I’ll let you know how it does. Will be used mostly for holding fishing rod rack, cooler and maybe a hitch mountable beach cart.

My current surf fishing set up didn’t allow the tailgate to open. I’ve looked at the hitch mounts that swing open but they always seemed pretty expensive.
