I have the SPV parking light harness that allows the amber backlight on my Rigid light pods to turn on with my parking/marker lights. One thing I noticed is that the backlight isn’t on with the DRLs. If the headlights are on, the backlights turn on, and they also come on when I unlock the vehicle or remote start it. However, if the vehicle is running and only the DRLs are on (during the daytime), the backlights stay off.

I’m assuming this is by design, but I’m wondering if there’s a FORScan setting that would allow the backlights to come on with the DRLs.

You may have to wire those to an Aux switch and just leave it on. I've done that with my Oracle Grill Letters rather than go through the effort to locate a specific hot lead on ignition.

Add-A-Tap to a fuse, I used 360 Camera (fuse 22 I think), but there are many to select from. That will be hot with ignition only, and doesn't burn a switch if you don't want to. Picking up the specific DRL signal can be done - but it requires tapping into a factory harness (and it will be hot almost all the time anyway - just off while in Park):

For aftermarket stuff, it's difficult to say if Forscan can do anything for you - Forscan really only adjusts Factory settings; if you are triggering something aftermarket from a Factory line then ok, but you need to know what you are tapping into and what not.
