I don't know how bad this is, but I'm new to Forscan so to me this looks pretty bad...

I am new to forscan. i am using it on my 2022 ford bronco 2.3 auto base. it doesn't have a locker, so i wanted to do it factory, so my plan was to change the module in forscan so that it would recognize a locker on a hero switch which i bought that has the rear locker on it. I looked online and was told to change the awd module under code from
703-163-030000000504D0
to
703-163-030000000404C0

but instead, i changed it to
703-163-030000000504C0
on accident.

I noticed that the locker button didn't work, so i went back into forscan and this message came up when i tried

Ford Bronco {thread} {filename}

i'm not sure what I did, but now I can't go back into the module to load in the old file. can anyone help? when i click yes, it asks for the new solenoid strategy and i don't want to do that, just in case it really messes things up.

Thanks in advance!

I am new to forscan as well, but can you reload your original profile as a whole (hopefully you saved one) to take it back to before you made the change vs just trying to go back in and make the change to that module?

Quit program. Reboot laptop. When you go back in do not go to the service procedures - just go straight to module configuration

See if that helps any.

Figured it out. Canceled license and then re-activated and it didn’t pop back up. (Not sure if it worked because I also updated to the 2.4 beta version after ChatGPT recommended that as a solution). After it didn’t pop up, I hopped into the module and switched it to original. It does pop up whenever I switch the code for the thing I want (hero switch locked button for rear locker) because I have not installed locker yet. Plan for the future is change it AFTER installing hardware.

thanks for the replies!

I would just wire the locker to a switch and not the oem computer ā€œnanny ā€œ nonsense…
