One important point often overlooked by consumers about recalls is that everyone gets them, no matter whether you actually have a problem with your vehicle or not. It’s not an indication that your vehicle is about to deconstruct into a flaming ball of fire on the freeway. Instead of being grateful that Ford is going to fix a problem before you ever even experience it, recalls are construed as horrible by most consumers.

All true, but recalls are also an indicator of shit quality.

This could be one of those all-time records that never gets broken as Ford didn't just beat the record, they shattered it. Still over four months left in the year. Should change the poll to predict the final tally at the end of the year.

Ford is recalling the software used to record and distribute Ford recall notifications. Up to 398 recalls for your Bronco may have been created that were never distributed to the press or owners and were subsequently deleted from all databases due to this software failure. There is no way to determine if your Bronco is affected until the software fix is implemented and Ford is able to recreate the recalls in the system. Unfortunately, there is no fix at this time.

When asked why the engineers can’t just describe the recalls from memory, a spokesperson responded: “There have been so many this year, they can’t remember all of them”.

Heard yesterday from a dealer they were tracking a customers Bronco and it got to Nevada on its way to CA… was pulled off train car and is now back in Michigan….

Ford CEO Jim Farley recognizes the issues surrounding these recalls, but that doesn’t mean the number of recalls is likely to stop. In a recent interview with CNBC, Farley said that the company has employed even more inspectors and engineers to identify quality issues in the field, and that recalls for older Ford models could "potentially go up."
