I'll hopefully have my ride in a couple months. Just got the window sicker and it has the "Fordpass connect 4G Wi-Fi hotspot telematics modem" as included. I have kids just old enough to watch movies/shows on a tablet and would be a huge help on a few longer trips we have planned. Does anyone who has their Bronco already have experience with the on-board wifi? Does it work well enough to stream kids stuff like Disney+? Is this a monthly fee thing? If so, how much?

I just downloaded the FordPass app and input my VIN but there is basically nothing to access. I'm just assuming that's because it's not built yet.

Any feedback on your experience with it is greatly appreciated!

We have it in my wife's Explorer- they give you a free trial for a little bit and then its a subscription after that. It does work though- we got it for a 14 hour drive to VA and thank god! Yes it will let you stream on your kids tablets disney+ etc.

We don't use it in the Bronco since our phone plans all have unlimited data with hotspots so the kids can just tether their iPad to their phone for data streaming. But, we have built in screens in our escalade which each have Google TV, so have that connected up to the vehicle's built-in Wifi for streaming. I added the vehicle's cellular to my existing mobile plan with ATT and it's $20 per month.

Thanks for the feedback. I googled that quickly and will have to look into it more. I have an iphone and it's not clear from their site if it's functional with IOS. Is it a plug and play or does the device work with the bronco wirelessly?

I had a heck of a time connecting to the onboard wifi until i figured out that i had to turn off Android Auto in the settings in order for my phone to connect to the onboard wifi. If i tried to connect while Android Auto was still connected to the Bronco, it wouldn't detect the wifi and kept giving an error. I just found that out by dumb luck but it works with no issues now. I'm not sure if that's the case if you have an iphone connected.

So you can’t used the bronco WiFi to stream pandora or Spotify with? I still haven’t found where to connect. On our gm vehicles it says WiFi in the menu. The bronco I haven’t a clue where it is. I got the emails when we set everything up at the dealer that the trial period is active. 🤷‍♂️ It worked well on the gm vehicles we have 99% of the time.

I haven't tried any streaming things yet as i was frustrated enough that i couldn't get the wifi to connect lol. I"ll take picture of the screen later on where it is in the menu.

The mmb box works on either Android or Apple shit...the box plugs into your USB for power and video feed to your Bronco screen...the data is wireless wifi and can be hooked up directly to the on board bronco wifi. The mmb is basically a tiny browser in a box that is also an emulator...it pretends its Android auto, so you bronco has no clue your watching you tube or browsing the web, or watching TV. It fools the ford safety mechanisms.

My Mustang came with 3 month ATT 4g LTE trial and it was terribly slow even when I lived in Downtown LA.

If you have an extra phone lying around, get a data only sim card, enable hotspot, and toss it in your car. It’s significantly better.

I've tried both and also two different carriers ATT and Verizon. The Att available in the Bronco is pretty good when you check the download speeds. My phone connections don't seem any faster.

This may be slightly off topic but related. We take our Bronco out on the beach in Delaware to surf fish and wanted the wifi to connect to in. We have connectivity issues with our phones. It does seem to help but here is the issue. The wifi only runs for a short period of time after you shut the engine down. Does anyone have any suggestions to keep it powered?
