Someone tell Ford if they allow mid package on 7MT Black Diamond, they’ll get more money from me. Otherwise, it’s BaseManSquatch all the way. Hell, I even had a passing thought about buying the base with no options (maybe aux switches) and just getting some 32s on Ffiteen52 wheels.

How many people have you heard they are upgrading trims from their original build.....very little. I would say they are watching for how many are dropping trims instead.

I have a BB and got the survey, so not just higher trims.

But as @dgorsett said, it seemed much more marketing info than changing anything. Questions like what are you interested in learning or know more about, are you interested in learning about off-roading techniques, etc. Things like that. And yes before you ask, I listed literally everything that I could think of that we want to know more about. Wheel specs, suspension differences, how the tops work, etc...

Man, I have two reservations and still no survey email! I feel slighted?
Edit: Yes, looks like they are targeting the high-end trim folks. Black Diamond and Base reservations here.
Not true. I reserved a base model on 7/14 and I got the survey.

I don't know.....lots want bits and pieces from higher priced trims if Ford would allow more a la carte ordering

Taking a look at comments, I see people going down in trim due to interior color choices. But I also see people going up in trims due to options (wanting high package for instance).

I see em both

Personally I reserved the obx thinking it was everything j wanted. Then as I learned the tiny differences in exterior details (wheels, body color wide mirror)... I found that I gravitated more towards the badlands or wildtrak than I did obx. Also the obx interior isn't for me either. So I ended up going up in trims

Yeah, like a step - or even wider rock rails - for the Basquatch. Especially if the door sill really is 27" high. I mean really. Make it an option. I will pay for it.

It did seem more like asking about marketing interested to me, so I asked for more information about how the crawler gear is used off road. I mean I get it’s ultra low range but it would be cool to see info about use of the clutch in different situations, general rules, etc.

Dang, that means they really just don’t like me! ?. On the trim discussion, I started at a Badlands, moved to a Black Diamond, and now looking at Base. I realized with the type of wheeling I’m likely to do, I was essentially spending an extra $10k to get a cool color and heated seats.

Looks like the same crappy, half-assed communication troll that Ford has been doing. They look like they are gathering information for the FEW people who has the HIGHEST interest in a SELECT segment of the vehicle's capabilities.

Talk about "increasing your official communications", but only half hearted attempt by down selecting the most popular topics.
