Not sure where they are going to get the materials for the batteries. Mine development takes years if not decades to get projects rolling.

I am ready for a electric f150, my wallet isn't.

I think EV's are the future but I totally agree with the argument put forth about where is the power going to come from? I've been saying this for years, our dilapidated antiquated power grid can't supply enough power now. Also what about the infrastructure for charging? I was saying to my wife the other day when we were at Whole Foods and they have 3 EV charging stations, "what happens when the number of EV's jump by 10 fold, how much good are those 3 charging stations going do?" There is this big rush to EV's with no plan for the infrastructure. All I have to say is if your electric company is anything like Duke Energy here in NC god help us.

EVs are going to hit a wall once they hit about 20 adoption.

Only about 70% of Americans live in a home with a garage or carport. Of those, about half have older homes with 100 amp service. Then consider that "two car garage" is the biggest lie since "the check is in the mail" and "no new taxes". So, that's half of half of 70% or about 17%

I could drive an EV (say a Mach-E) as a commuter car without any issues. But my wife has no place to plug in an electric vehicle. Plus her F-150 is about 3 foot longer than our garage anyway. And certainly the kids wouldn't have anywhere to plug in and charge their vehicles.

On the other hand, they can make a lot of sense for fleet vehicles. Especially for a business with a service yard that run only moderate miles in a day per vehicle. If I were running a plumbing or HVAC company, I'd buy 80% E-Transit Vans.

I had to chuckle the other day I saw a report that showed some gal with the EV and plug it in the receptacle and when asked where the power came from she paused and got the "I don't understand" look in her eyes and said, " Why it comes from the building". 🤪 It just so happened that the head of the public works was there so the reporter asked him and his response, " Well it comes from the local plant that uses coal to generate the power" :cautious: It just goes to should how clueless most of these clowns are as to how this all works. WTF are these people smoking???? I want some of that because it must be good shit.:ROFLMAO:
