I have set the fogs to the Bambi mode via Forscan, however, there does not seem to be a setting that would allow you to turn on the fog lights and have that setting remain on even after turning the Bronco off. It seems that on restarting the Bronco you have to turn the fogs back on again.

I am waiting on some bumpers from JCR and have some amber Baja Designs that will replace my Fogs, I am thinking that it may be better to wire those to the running lights vs the factory fog light switch for the results I am looking for -

You're going to want to look into DRL settings for the fogs to do what you want. Below are the areas in Forscan where you can make changes but I was able to make all the changes in the plain English. Right now I have DRL with fog enabled (fog light usage 01) and my fogs are on 24/7 when the Bronco is on and in gear. I can only turn the fogs off when the headlights are on because of the sensor (not DRL). Let me know if this makes sense or if you need more info.

When I start my Bronco, the headlights default to AUTO and if it's not dark enough outside, the fog lights will not be on.

Yup, I am looking for the fog lights to remember their last setting, on with low beams. My Ram 3500 fog light switch when switched "ON" remains on until you turn them off even when the truck is turned off. So once you get back in and turn the truck on, the fogs will come back on provided the headlights are on.

I was looking at hese the other day, one that I did not notice before was:

BdyCM726-39-02xxxx**xxxx--Front Fog Auto Cancel: 00=Enable 01=Disable (option)

Does this setting cancel the fogs when using AUTO? In other words if you are using the AUTO setting and you turn the fogs on, once you turn the Bronco off it turns the fogs off? If this was set to 01, would the fogs be on until you turn them off via the switch?

It could be! My fogs stay on until I turn them off with the switch so I may have disabled this. I can check my setting when I have some free time and confirm if that is 01 for my setup.

Why do you want your fog lights to always come on every time your headlights are on?

Thank you guys for your efforts on this.

I had two goals in mind for my Outer Banks with the standard bumper and Diode Dynamics Elite amber fogs when I got my Forscan setup: 1) get ride of the double honk, and 2) allow use of my fogs on high beam.

The double honk was first to go. Success!

On to the fogs on with high beam. I located BdyCM address 726-39-02 and changed value in the first data string from xx01 to xx02. The fogs now work with high beams!

The ultimate set-up for me would be that my fogs would:

1) "Remember" the fog lights on or off setting from the dashboard switch when I shut off and restart the Bronco (just like my add-on Auto Stop Start module makes the button in the center dash panel remembers if ASS is on or off).

2) When turned on with the dashboard switch the fogs would turn on when the headlights turn on, high or low beam. They would turn off when the headlights turn off. Also, daytime running lights should continue to work in AUTO mode.

3) Ideally, the fogs would not turn on with the daytime running lights.

The descriptions in the notes on the spreadsheet are very helpful, but just cryptic enough that I need a bit of help in figuring what changes to make to achieve the above described fog light nirvanna.

UPDATE: After RTF(2022 Bronco)M, I found that the DRLs work with the headlight switch in AUTO mode, but only when the Bronco is NOT in park. I started my Bronco, checked that the light switch was in AUTO mode, set the parking brake, and left it idling in reverse. The DRLs were on, and the fogs would not come on. I turned the headlights on and the fogs worked on low and on high beam. Only thing I forgot to check is if the fog button "remembered" my on setting. I can live with that. So I think I'm ready to call this Bambi mode experiment a success. Still, if anybody has any enhanced toughts on the process, that would be most appreciated.

Thank you
ATB

I went out and checked this setting, it was enabled - so I disabled it. See if the Fogs will stay on until I turn them off via the switch.

Az_Squatch_Bronco:

So how did that 726-39-02 fogs auto-cancel change work?

ATB
It did not. Once I turn the Bronco off, the fogs have to be turned with the light switch next time its started still.

Thank you very much for getting back. I won't mess with that setting. Maybe next I'll try to silence that "doo, doo, doo" sound when the door is open.

Thank you very much.

I have a 23 and if the headlights are on auto it does not remember the fog setting. I currently have a 24 loaner and it does remember the setting.
