Eh, that’s my fourth reason for them. Not doing crazy rock crawling. I needed a step first, something to prevent rocks from kicking up with my Sasquatch tires second, protection from door dings third then the occasional rock I may get caught up against last. I will be going off road occasionally, but not hardcore crawling. I got the Go Rhino Dominator D6 and think it will be a good solution for that. Installing them this week.
Had this on my last truck. Blocked pretty much everything, but did bend pretty easily when I slid into a rock…

The GoRhino ones? That’s all I need it to do. Stop rocks from kicking up, door ding prevention, be a step and protect the body/frame from anything drastic. New steps will be a lot cheaper to replace. If I rock crawled seriously, I’d worry about something else. Not doing anything crazy until I’ve had it for a decade or so. Lol Just off the beaten path here and there for camping and photography.

The exposed silver screws on the underside of the Signature is unappealing. Why not use black?

You can’t see them unless your rig has a 30” lift or you’re underneath it on your back.

And black oxide screws rust quickly. I’d assume the screws are stainless, but even zinc will last longer than black oxide.

Yup then the gorhino or honestly any of the ones in the few hundred dollar range will work for you :) I’ve even had one guy open their door into the Tacoma I had the D6s on. Can’t say his door was damaged by my steps because it was pretty messed up already but no damage to the steps.

the rock sliders in the $1k+ range like these are meant to take the full weight of the vehicle. You could probably jack on these LOD sliders! Not something grocery getters/fire roaders typically care about

most of the marked overland/photography trails need to be good enough for a subie to get through so keep that in mind!

The screws are zinc plated. They can be swapped out for other screws or painted. We have sourced black zinc screws in the past but the cost is just too high for the few screws that are visible. Not sure where else to get black screws, and black oxide will rust in a minute.

Hey, you got a point there, this is fat. You've actually got three points there! *many won’t get the reference*

Signature or Destroyer......Signature or Destroyer......Signature or Destroyer.

Good explanation. I guess the best/easiest option would be to paint them.

Please take this as constructive feedback from someone who is very interested in the sig series for my 4 dr.

It is disappointing that your marketing team would take the time to photoshop out the pinch seam in the online pics - would like to see from the manufacture the reality of the situation

Second, after wheeling all last week in Moab, UT, I am very concerned that this mounting location will represent a massive design challenge as the trailing arm mounts were the single greatest obstacle hang up on the entire underside of the Bronco. Mine are beat after just one week and will require a fab'd skid for future wheeling.

LoD’s install instructions include the use of a spacer around the trailing arm mounts and recommend not using the spacer if you have trailing arm skids. Are you concerned that won’t work? Spacer too small compared to typical trailing arm skids?
