I have mine with no regrets. Its been easy to just open to position 1 and enjoy a drive and then close it up. I do not find it noisy in regards to what I would have expected. I actually love it and the fact I have my Bronco.

I switched to a soft top for a few reasons.

- Didn't want to wait
- Hardtops were having their share of issues, so even if I got a hard top I was I going to get something I wanted on there for years?!?!
- Decided to get the car now, and have the convenience of the soft top, while waiting a year or two for the hard top issues to be fixed or for there to be a better aftermarket option
- Will still probably buy the Bestop softie cause the OEM one is ugly
- In a year or two I will have the Bestop for Spring/Summer and a decent hard top for winters in Reno.

Yes, I caved in early May, got "scheduled" email in late May, and got my Badlands in early Aug. Just like the Jeep TJ that I used to have, I love the soft top on the Bronco. Very quiet.

I was a first day order and switched to a soft top to get my Bronco scheduled during the initial hard top fiasco. I'm 3 months in so I've had a while to experience it.

I have no regrets at all. It does not even flutter slightly at high speeds. Even though there are ripples in the windows, it is perfectly transparent. You don't even notice there's clear plastic there when you're in the vehicle. Being able to flip it down halfway in about 5 seconds has been great. The AC/heat are very strong so I haven't experienced that heat/cold layer in the top 6" of head room like I've experienced in Jeeps.

The only downside would be road noise. That has taken a bit of time to get used to. Every vehicle that goes by sounds like it's so close like it's about to crash into you.

I’m holding onto my MIC Lux Tow BadSquatch. The only way I’ll switch is if ford starts offering the Bestop slant back or something (since I’ll be getting one for summers anyway). I’ve tried to like the soft top, but I can’t get past the wavy window. I don’t know why it bothers me so much, I can accept that it’s probably a personal failing, but it is what it is. I hope anyone who does switch tops ends up loving it and gets their truck all the sooner.

I see a lot of mixed takes on the road noise levels. I'm used to motorcycles, wife drives a convertible, and I've had convertible mustangs in the past. Strangely enough the loudest car I've ever owned (road noise wise) was my F-Type coupe. Given all of the experience with noisy vehicles, hopefully the Bronco won't jump out as particularly awful with road noise.

I have a two door, so I'm SOL on switching from hard to soft. Lowkey wish they'd approve a new contract to Bestop or something for soft tops or something from Ford (have a hard time believing Ford has no 2D soft top model drawings made to date).

However, off topic, I will absolutely not change my engine for the sake of getting it quicker. It's not like I can buy a 2.7L from the factory (well, I guess I could) with high feasibility, then do an engine swap myself. I guess some dont mind the 2.3L, but since I plan to drive the vehicle for its full length, I can't budge on that.
Think about the 2.3 vs 2.7 this way ... the 2 door is how much lighter than the 4 door?

I was able to test drive both a soft top and a hard top. The soft top sounded like the windows were wide open. Plus it's cold here (Alberta Canada) and as anyone with a convertible here will attest - soft tops are no-bueno. I've known plenty of folks who sold their soft tops within 24 months of owning after going through 1 or 2 winters.

So after having the same nice long wait that many of you have had, I finally caved in and changed my order to a soft top. Ford gave me time to think, and that I did.

I figured if I was going to change to a soft top I might as well take care of anything else that I was on the fence about. That lead me down a rabbit hole and now I've done a complete 180 on my build. Went from a heavily constrained Wildtrak hardtop down to a pretty plain Jane mansquatch Big Bend. Best part of the decision was while on the phone with my dealer I was told my new build combined w/ my early timestamp should get the truck to me much much sooner. I know the implications of "my dealer said", but it's still nice to hear it from them.

Anybody else make the convert to a soft top, if so was it worth it? If anyone made the change and pulled constraints, did you receive a build date quick afterwards?

Not looking for a crystal ball with my build date, just looking to see what other's experiences have been.
Originally, I had the dual tops with the modular hard top on order. As soon as they announced in June that the soft top would have the hard top connections starting in September, I changed my order to the soft top only. Received my build in October. Glad I did.

I opted for a soft top on my wildtrac because I'm not crazy about the MIC top. I'm going g to order the MOD top when it's available and did not want two hard tops. Got a build date week of 1/10/22 the next week

I am contemplating a switch from MIC to soft top because: ease of opening/closing the roof; the black soft top may look better than the MIC top with Eruption Green; and I would like to have the car by next summer.

For a 4-door, can anyone confirm that if you just unhinge the front of the soft top, the back seat passengers would also enjoy an open-air experience? Also, can anyone confirm that the middle section of the MIC top cannot be stored on board like the first row panels?

I dunno, from what I'm reading, people are very unhappy with the saggy window soft top. I know that you want yours sooner and it's nice to unlatch and toss back the front, but this is a big sacrifice. Add to that the HUGE expense of getting a replacement Hard Top. As for me, I'm glad I held out. Even with all the MIC issues going around, they pale in comparison with what I'm hearing about the softy. Good Luck!
Anecdotally, the complaints from MIC owners seem MUCH higher than the complaints from soft top owners...people are definitely not "very unhappy" in general with the soft top. I actually thought I wouldn't be a fan of using it year round and would change it as soon as I could...and the opposite is true, and that is definitely the majority view from people who actually have it. It is well liked overall...much moreso than the MIC from an overall standpoint.

I caved too. I put my 2022 order in in October, I removed tow and brush bar, added sasquash but kept the MIC. Then beginning of November I caved and switched to soft top. The next scheduling cycle I was given a build date of 01/10. Pretty happy I did that since my current vehicle is barely hanging on and I don't want to dump any money into it.
