External temp gauge false reading

Hey everyone,

First real concern I've had with this bronco receiving it.
Specs: 2021 2.7 big bend no mods done
My external temp is reading waaayyyy hotter than actual. I noticed it about a week ago consistently reading off and made appt with dealer to chrkc it out but I'm 3 weeks out from appt.

So this morning I started bronco and let run for about 5 minutes (as I do every single morning). External temp was reading 96. After first mile it gradually went down to 90 but as I got on highway at around 60mph cruising I watched the temp go up to 104 within about 2 min. See picture for what the cluster was showing. All other machenical temps seem great, although I haven't Sen my battery pull 15V before. Anyone have any idea if I should park it until dealer can look at it?

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco temperature gage concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

I'm having the same issue and its gotten so much worse. My A/C goes to full blast when on auto. Ostensibly because it thinks its trying to overcome external ambient temperature. It’s driving me nuts.
