The real concern for me did the fire damage “The Drunken Duck”. A great bar in Hitachinaka near the Katsu station. Spent many of nights in that place during the 80’s while doing work with Hitachi. Lot of semiconductor facilities in that city.

I'm taking the optimist view point on this. Ford has guaranteed sales with our Bronco orders. So, the reduction in F-150's and other models could be to allow chip allocation for Bronco orders. Also, who is to say that they haven't already secured the chips for our builds. Until something official comes from Ford, we should all just calm down.

I agree entirely...we are 2 months from production which is ample time to turn things around. Additionally, here in Ontario Canada there is an abundance of new Ford vehicles on the lot as people are not buying them and opting to buy used vehicles during the pandemic. I just sold my 2011 Ford F150 to purchase the Bronco and received $3000 over asking due to the demand.

Do you know for sure that Ford uses Renesas power ICs, or is this just speculation? There are other suppliers for automotive power ICs....

Anyone else scared they get there bronco and there’s something stupid wrong with it 2 days after they get it bring in for warranty work and you in a loaner for a month or more cause parts are on national back order.

On a side not took my company’s Chevy in for airbag recall today and was checking out gmc pickups salesman told us all models coming off assembly line now will no longer have cylinder deactivation cause of the micro chip problem he said gm decided it wasent worth waiting so all new gmc coming off the line will not have cylinder deactivation
