EVERYTHING about the reveal/reservation process sucked. And that all occurred on the most important night for the most important new vehicle Ford has offered. So...draw your own conclusions.
I don't know about that....I've never seen a car reveal that has been more talked about, and all in a positive way outside of this board...never seen a reveal where more people I know reserved than and are jacked about the vehicle. I would say Ford is sitting back thinking they hit the reveal and reservations out of the park; niche complaints notwithstanding. Objectively, they did.

I think it was overwhelmingly successful in a very broad term but the moment you start digging there are plenty of legitimate concerns.

Once the hype dies down it could get a little spooky.

I mean don’t get any of this wrong, I think everyone here is over the moon excited about getting into a Bronco. But the reservation process absolutely sucked and was a frustrating process.

If you need evidence that the reveal wasn’t great(at least for enthusiasts), just look at how many new members we get here each day asking questions/starting new threads about basic, basic, basic info that Ford could have easily told us

Edit: and the only reason the reservation process was as successful as it was, is because it was only $100. If it was $500 like the Mach-e there’s no way in hell I would have reserved one. Especially with the amount of info we got on reveal night

I assume the seats can come out, but that’s just an assumption (maybe even a well-founded one).
Everything is removable....

Great idea but I would cut that down by 1/2. You eliminate excess leverage & still have the wheel covered.

The Coyote is a great motor no doubt. But its powerband isn't exactly ideal for a heavy SUV. And with its overhead cams it's wiiiiide. The 392 is much more similar to an LS in size so it's a more reasonable proposition to fit into the Wrangler. The aftermarket can promise a 5.0 swap all they want but until the get their hands on a Bronco (or CAD models of one from Ford) it's all guesswork at this point if one can even be shoved in between the strut mounts. Then you've got to have enough airflow to and around it to actually make the thing stay cool and live.
If that’s the case then wouldn’t it make the 7.3L perfect?

I don't know that good marketing would involve giving out all details on launch....continuing to build suspense and ongoing interest is probably in their interest. Traffic on sites like this to ask questions is probably in their interest and helps maintain interest. Refreshing the Ford site daily to see what is new as they release more is probably a positive.

The $100 definitely made it very easy, but these guys at Ford have to be pretty jacked about the response.

Ok bud ?. I’m not in marketing and not gonna pretend to be. From the perspective of people that were always going to get a Bronco anyways... There have been quite a few long-time members on here that have made the irrational move to cancel their reservations. And then all of the posts/threads about simple things like how the tops and folding seats work (which are integral things to the Bronco experience) do not indicate to me the feeling of building suspense and excitement of getting to see just how those things work! It indicates to me a reveal that wasn’t great and builds frustration not suspense.

If Ford is reading the Forum...It would be very helpful to have an official video for each trim level explaining features, engines, showing the rear seat fold, color and roof options, how to remove the doors and roof, packages, etc. This should have been included at launch; there was plenty of time to work on it. Dealers and car folk will do this on YouTube, such as Long McArthur Ford, but it'd be great to have something from Ford directly. The reveal suspense had been building up for years. Now that the Bronco has been revealed, let us make better informed choices before plunking down our hard earned money.

I don’t understand why the build and price is available for the Sport model but not this. I also don’t understand why they didn’t wait until it was ready before announcing the new model.

once again patients. All of that info will be out before the December order deadline.

ford didn’t want to over load everyone with information in one day. Most of are questions will be answered next month with the BnP tool.

as for why ford didn’t have it ready at launch vs the Bronco Sport. Simple

Bronco Sport goes into production next month. And people can place their full orders NOW. so a BnP tool was needed. However the Bronco isn’t set to start production till around New Years. still lots of time for Ford to modify options lists and finalize orders.
