Hi All,
I have a 2024 Bronco w/ the 7 speaker system. I installed a kicker key 200.4 Amp, new speakers, and a Kicker 10" hideaway powered sub installed with a plugnplay kit in the old Bronco. I have kept the factory subwoofer active.
The engine sounds are being amplified through the system and it sounds awful whenever the Kicker hideway sub is plugged in. It is tolerable (although not great) when the sub is unplugged. I am going to disable the engine sound enhancement through Forscan as per instructions in another thread. However, I'm wondering if there's a solution that would maintain some engine sound enhancement through the stereo. I'd like maintain something, but not to the point it is nauseating.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Does anyone know if the factory sub's input somehow avoids the engine sound enhancement signal? If so, I could use that signal for my hideaway in lieu of the door speaker signal currently being picked up by the plugnplay kit.
Before it is suggested that engine sound enhancement does not exist, be aware that this same setup on my 2022 Bronco did not have this issue. I traded the 2022 in on a 2024. I'm confident this is an engine sound enhancement thing. I've also confirmed my sub is adequately grounded to the ground behind the rear cargo panel.
Thanks in advance!
