The bummer about a cover like this is that after it rains, or you are ready to go, you now have to put a wet cover back in your truck. Then you need to dry it out completely later or it will rot and stink. You could have a custom marine (boat) cover made. Or even custom sew a tarp. With a marine top, or tarp, you shake it off, and it's almost completely dry.
I think you can just use the FordPass app, and they’ll run right over and throw that thing on for you. Pretty good deal if you think about it!
I bought this last year and its pretty good. I don't think its officially waterproof put you can probably spray it with some PTEF to have water bead up and roll off of it. I plan on keeping it in the back when the top is off in case of the occasional thunderstorm. Obviously you can't drive with it on but gotta make some compromises somewhere.

.But if you don't want to have a bath at highway speeds and have money to spend you could get a soft top for summers or if you are in the crafty category you could try to make some sort of quick deploy top like from a 40's jeep not great but at lights your not getting 5 min showers. That's all I got
The ford accessory site has the cover for the storage as well as canvas tops that look very similar to that Jeep setup.
I'm waiting for one of these to come out for the bronco. Probably won't get the back window but will definitely get the top and deck bikini top.
There is a canvas bimini also that Ford originally advertised. Not sure if it ever came to production. Canvas might help, but I think there may be rain runoff on the edges.Maybe you could get a tarp made like the bimini top and have it in the truck and when it rains you could quickly install it.
