Dedicated to anyone who refuses to change their order from an E5C (2dr Advanced 4x4 with auto engagement) just to get something built before MY24.

We know we could order ANY 4dr... or a NON-SAS Base, BB, BD, or OBX 2dr (part-time 4x4)... and stand a reasonable chance of getting something built BEFORE our dealerships run out of their annual allocation -- but still we persist because Ford teased us with this SWB real off-roader -- and then pulled the rug out from under us.

Wonder what color I'll reorder my '24 in when they cancel CG? 🤔

Who's feeling my pain? 🙋‍♂️

Not sure if I was really early, or just got extremely lucky....but I took delivery of my E5C on December 1st.
(2DR BD, Non-Sas, 2.3/Auto, Adv-4x4, Mid-Pkg).
Was slowly losing all hope for a 21, but I guess mine made the cut at the last possible minute.

Yeah, my dealer sort of confirmed this. They apparently had 5 E5Cs picked up in the first big scheduling, and none since then. Most of their left for dead’s are E5Cs, including mine.

The thing is, for January scheduling 4 of the 10 two doors I saw scheduled on here were E5C (40%), and now for February 8 of 14 (57%). So alternatively it would seem they just didn’t schedule very many two doors at all? 🤷‍♂️

Remember when @PREMiERdrum told us there would be a lot of two doors scheduled (back in June or July), and there was like a two door palooza? Yeah, they’re still replacing all those tops or something…

Only 2Dr I have seen locally were sitting at Granger a week or so ago. Held off on ordering one until I drove the OBX and got a feel for the 2.3L w/auto. Always liked the Broncos and F150s to have manual tranny and can't pass up the opportunity. Now the 500+ day waiting begins - been like 25+ years since having the Gen 1 and wanting to buy one of them again.

I am with you. I love the Gen 1s and check out what's available out here all of the time. For the same money, I could build a nice one... actually more "my speed" since '60 Fords are right up my alley... BUT..

... as much as I love Gen 1s, it's not the gap I'm looking to fill with this one. I'm looking to replace my daily driver... with a modern drivetrain... and a warranty... something I can take straight off road on delivery day and drive into the office the next day... or take a 500 mile trip. Another classic would be great, but it's not what I want. Neither is a 4dr or a less-capable 2dr.

So I'll wait it out through Ford's inane allocations and commodity restrictions. I'm resigned to weekly Thursday disappointments on the backdoor site while many others are getting their E5As, E5Bs, and E5Ds delivered at a significantly faster rate. Maybe Ford will play catch-up on some mythical "someday" (maybe when they finally fire Webasto and the MIC 4.0 tops are figured out)... the floodgates open... and loads of stubby little 2drs on 33s and 35s get loaded onto rail cars.

When that comes, I'll be happy I waited it out. 🤞

I am only 15 months, So, I still have lots of enthusiasm.
I feel for all of you long haulers though.

Still have no build date/VIN for the 2dr 2.7 Basesquatch (E5C). Just before the ordering banks closed I put in another (non-reservation) order for a 2.3/7MT Base stripper 2dr (E5A)through a larger local dealer.

We'll see which comes in first. 🤷‍♂️

Still in E5C purgatory here too. Hopefully they start turning the crank on these bad boys. It's the only model of Bronco that's right for me.
