Picked up some DV8 fender flares after snapping several clips on the sasquatch flares. I had no doubt I would snap more of them cycling the suspension. Bigger tires and upfitted coilsprings didn't help the situation.
The fiberglass baja kits look amazing but I wasn't ready to tackle all the expense, fitting, prep and paint involved with those setups just yet.
You will have to loosen your fender liners to install these, which I did on the front. Then I had an idea.
Tip: I broke out my nutsert tool and installed M6's into the rear mounting holes which will make future removal and replacement much quicker, and much easier.The M6 will also work with the provided hardware.
The gasket material didn't want to stick to the fender flare in the colder weather, had to preheat the metal fender flares with a small torch.
Painted the front fenders rattle can style. Not exactly concourse but very happy with the product and the results. They include a Clearcoat in the kit that really helps it match. I had used this already on my lettering covers and shackles to good effect.
The fender flares themselves are well made and feel substantial and absolutely allow some extra uptravel.
One word of caution the rear fender flares barely clears my ADD rockfighter bumper. I ground about 1/4" off the rear fender flares but I'll want to keep an eye on it.
All in all an easy one man job, and they definitely show off your suspension changes. I would guess there is 2" of extra clearance, and they are slightly narrower then the SAS fender flares.
