If theyre wrapped properly that would be fine but my concern is 4 individual packages vs 1.. How much were the shipping costs?
I just shipped 4 to Memphis and he sent me his sas flares for my non. Cost me $66 with a ups account. It cost him over $100 for the same. I used 2 Home Depot medium moving boxes and put them together. Bubble wrap is definitely the cheaper option

I hadn’t thought of building a box. I need bubble wrap for sure. I can get that easily enough, but what’s the scoop with the shipping? I don’t have a UPS account. Is that important? Oh, and was $300 plus shipping acceptable?
You dont need an account unless you ship alot then it saves you money. I always compare usps ups and fedex. Fedex tends to be more and Ive had the worst luck with them handling packages. $300 is great. I just dont wanna pay a ridiculous shipping charge.
Am I off my meds? What the hell is with shipping? I am looking at two boxes (two fenders per box) unless I Frankenstein the two boxes into one. The box dimensions are 20”x8”x50” (4.6 cubic feet). The boxes are marketed as a “guitar box”. The weight is probably 5lbs or so if I keep the filler light. Shipping from 98422 to somewhere in Shreveport (like 71101) and it’s showing near to $150 per box? How the hell did Galloway Ford ship it to me two of these together for $87? Am I missing something?

The problem is you are being charged additional fee's because your box is so large. The weight isn't a major factor. Play around with the dimensions a bit to see what is cheapest and then "cram" all 4 fenders into said size box. For example, UPS will ship a 16" x 12" x 48" box for $120. But add 2" in any given directions and the price jumps to $150 due to an Additional Handling fee.
