I’m a new owner (2 door hard top), can you drive with the back glass open/up?

Thanks,

I did it with my old suv all the time when hauling long objects, don’t see why there would be an issue on these.

Did it with both my old jeeps and many times on the bronco. Only thing to be concerned with is if a rock or something flies over the roof and busts it.

It's a risk for sure and I guess that glass is not cheap or easy to replace right now.

We’ve had a couple blow the rear window out slamming the rear tire, 2 dropped there caps on the ground and 3 to date whose rear windows just blew out sitting. I haven’t seen a busted rear window from having it open yet.

I did coming back from home depot since the planks I bought didn't fit in the back. I live two blocks away from one so for me it wasn't a big issue. For long trips? I'm not sure, but if you need to from the hardware store I would just drive slow and not too far. Do not drive off-road with it open. Too much bounce will cause it to probably slam on the tire.

ive been thinking about this as well. it should cut down on the awful wind buffeting. but it does feel pretty flimsy

I have hauled lumber short distances around 10x. I would avoid large bumps and long distances

I've hauled some 8' lumber hanging out the back tailgate a few times with window open. No issues at all!

I d be most concerned that you don’t suck exhaust fumes into vehicle….
Too young to remember real station wagons? Back windows rolled down. We are all still alive. Even without the rear window up, no seatbelts, and not wearing bicycle helmets while in a car.

My son uses one of these on his 2010 FJ. He has survived as well.
