Honestly not talking about juicing anyone, just a little bit for my time. Going to the dealership, dmv, etc etc. I know if I was looking at 2 more years and had the money I'd be pumped for a post like this.

I have a 7/14 reservation I had offered to give away to someone because I am getting a Ram TRX now, but was told Ford will not allow it. I know FCA (Fiat Chrysler Auto) allows it. A few people have swapped out there $1000, fully-refundable, deposit for someone wanting out of their allocation. People just advertise on the TRX forums they have an allocation they no longer want. They work it through the dealership. I don't think they are making any money by swapping with the other person though... I'll be cancelling my reservation soon.

If you think 2 years out you may be ready, just ask the dealer to out a hold on it. It's worth a shot.

yeah, the optics look terrible. Tell your dealer you want a '22 and then you might recover financially by then. Or tell the dealer you will order what they want and then not take delivery, a little honorarium for your time of course. Call it two hours at minimum wage...Just so you aren't mistaken for a scalper.

Here's how you do it, kid:

Ford will not penalize dealerships for selling it to your business name.

Just go into business with someone who wants that reservation and dissolve it with them getting the Bronco as a business asset.

Done.
