@K76Husker your issue sounds like there was something wrong with your build and Ford isn’t saying why for whatever reason, if it was built and ready to go it would show Built and not In Production. Good luck to you on trying to figure it out, sucks they won’t tell you more.

@WT205 most of those don’t hold water because mine was built yesterday and shipped today. I’d bet on your build week having a build QC issue and that’s the hold.
Agreed. Just consolidating all the theories.

The Ford zone rep confirmed what @FordVideoGuy reported about there being QC holds. Huge thank you to Tim- you've been a great source of information for all of us tortured Bronco/ Maverick/ F150/ F250/ Lightning order holders.

While the zone rep doesn't know specifics on how or why certain builds get pulled for QC- it does appear that meaningful portions of every production run are pulled and held for this QC process. She couldn't say for sure but thinks my build was part of the QC pull.

I won't speculate on what that QC process is or how long it's supposed to take because I have no idea. Mine has been parked for 45+ days and the last thing my dealer can see is my Bronco's door being opened on June 1st.

Chat and marketing have started specifically telling me my Bronco is at MAP which they never used to do. We know there are large holding lots somewhere in Canton and Ypsilanti and rumors they may be holding some Broncos at the F150 plant in Dearborn.

The zone rep said nothing about them doing the seatbelt recall at the factory.

I suspect there are some constraints and bad parts sprinkled in the Broncos stuck in production (see Dana rear axles) but I wanted to at least provide some information I got today- as little as it was...

My 2 Door OBX Sasquatch was built 6/1. A few days after my salesman confirmed it was built and was at a holding lot in Canton awaiting rail pickup. Initially dealer was telling me a 6/30 ETA to Oregon. Last week on 6/20 finally got “ built ” email. Now dealer and Ford chat is saying it’s at MAP awaiting shipment and now have an ETA of 7/16-7/22

That’s good news. It does seem reaching “built” status is the real hurdle to clear.

Hoping that the delay is associated with trouble finding a rail car and not the rumored Dana 44 axle issue

Just had someone from marketing pull the freight history and she explained it looked like my bronco went from wayne to canton and was back in wayne as of Friday. This was all new information (but apparently has been available since it happened). Thinking i was a part of whatever QC was going on too. I’m hoping this means forward progress this week since it seems we are back at MAP😩🤞🏼

Are these driven back individually to the factory or loaded back on a convoy?

I’m honestly not sure. I would venture to guess convoy but i truly don’t know. Someone else might know and correct me.

Regardless, Ford could be communicating with those of us stuck in production. They know exactly where are builds are, what needs to happen to get them completed and when that should be finished. They are choosing to withhold that information which is the completely inexcusable part.
Completely disagree here.

I'm as frustrated as the next guy, but I need to keep things in perspective since I was late to the ordering process and on top of that I am trying to get a Raptor. That said, neither of us are Ford customers, maybe a dealer took a deposit, we are the dealers customer, before and after deposit and payments. It is excusable for FMC to withhold information as it relates to confidential information; whether it be about supply chain, QA, logistics, etc. FMC considers most of this to have financial impact and most of it to be proprietary. FMC doesn't owe us anything. Sorry, that is the cold reality. They have some partially functional trackers we can use based on our commitment to purchase a vehicle from a dealer at a future time when such vehicle becomes available.

If they would rather keep give dealers access to the information and have the dealers keep us updated- works for me.

As for confidential information- Ford is a publicly traded company with an obligation to disclose any information regarding its performance that could negatively impact its earnings and, in turn, shareholder value. These disclosures are part of the quarterly 10-Q filing they and every other public company files.

Production issues, supply chain problems, labor shortages or any other reasons that impair the performance of Ford as a company is expected and required to be disclosed. Jim Farley has already publicly blamed supply chain, labor, and even his own management team for Fords weak financial performance in 21 and 22. If they considered that confidential and proprietary- Jim didn’t get the memo.

Still trapped in the "in Production" purgatory. My hope is that if it is QC related it is better to have it fixed at the factory than the dealership. I don't want to deal with taking delivery and immediately have to go back to the dealer for warranty work. With the parts shortage it would likely sit at the dealer longer than it will sit at the factory. At least that is what I keep telling myself. lol
