Something else to consider... 2D vs. 4D

We've only seen the Bronco Raptor as a 4D and it's "believed" that's the only way that @Ford Motor Company will offer it. (I really wish that they'd do a 2D Raptor on a 4D frame... I'd be.... Here, Take My Money!!!!! even with ADM)

So.... how important is the number of doors? If you can find a dealer with a 2D & 4D available for you to just sit in, it might help you with our decision.

I definitely love the 2dr more no question, i sat in both and drove both and felt more comfortable in the 2dr overall but at the same time, i dont need 4dr but eventually id probably have to trade my 2dr on a 4dr just because i need the room so i might as well start with it, right?

Yeah I completely understand the dilemma.

Because you were selected for a Bronco Raptor, you are really close to having your Wildtrak build scheduled. Basically next in line once the components become available. So the good news is you will probably end up with a Bronco this year either way unless the supply chain just completely collapses.

I personally would take a step back and decide if the Bronco Raptor even fits into your life. Simple stuff—for example—if you get a Bronco Raptor, will it even fit into a garage?? If you can't put it into a garage, are you okay with it sitting outside? Are you looking to off-roading in your Bronco? If so, will the trails be wide enough for the Bronco Raptor? Are there trails you will be avoiding that you wouldn't avoid in the Wildtrak simply because it is a Bronco Raptor and you don't want to damage it?

Once you figure all of that out, decide if it is worth the extra $20,000+. If it's not worth it, pass on it. If so... go for it and see what the ADMs are like.

I will be getting mine at MSRP and truthfully i think even if it doesnt fit into my life as well as a 2dr would right now, eventually i would need a bigger vehicle anyway. i already daily a 2018 Mustang GT so i do have a 2dr already, so the 4dr bronco would be well and above a step up and to have two 2dr vehicles wouldnt make the most sense long term wise. It has been on my mind heavy lately but with a price at MSRP i think id be dumb to not get one, but we'll see come march with the B&P and order banks opening up

Personally, I've only considered the 2 door and I would not be swayed by the Raptor or a 4 door Bronco. Ford has my business because they stayed true to their roots of the first Bronco.

So my thoughts are that you should go for the Raptor.

I am in a similar dilemma. 7/14 2 door Badlands reservation, $54K configuration as orderedwith a Raptor golden ticket. The goods news is my dealer texted yesterday and said no ADM. (I’m thinking the threat of pulling F-150 Lightning allocations has them towing the line. He had previously told me the usual ADMs for Raptors and Shelbys.)

Anyway, I came into this as a nostalgia buy wanting basically the Bellebracht John Bronco Heritage Edition. Since Ford can’t seem to do a white top anytime soon, ordered the Badlands two door.

The thing is, I was always going to tow a 4000-4500 boat and trailer like I do with my Jeep (also rated for 3500), and would have liked to eventually look at a 3000lb or so dry weight camping trailer. To do so, I would probably would have upgraded brakes, rear suspension, and tow receiver. Then there is the drawback of getting dogs or passengers in and out of two doors, along with the constrained fuel capacity.

The Raptor fixes all these things.

The problem is the backside of those rear flares, and will I be able to mount the script bronco somewhere near where it goes.

Then there is the $16k+ increase.

I was fortunate to not get a BRaptor golden ticket and suffer this exact same agony. (Thanks Ford for saving me at least $25,000). Not only do I really want a 2 door I also really want the 7MT.

The 400 HP BRaptor with the strengthened tie rods, improved steering rack, 4500 pound towing, 10 MPG, hideous fender flares, etc. is a real temptress though.

I say stick with what you want. While the Bronco Raptor will be an amazing machine, it doesn't fit reality for many buyers, nor does it come in a 2-door (from what we have all seen so far). While you may at somepoint wish you opted for the Bronco Raptor, there will be other times that you wish you would have opted for the 2-door Wildtrak. At some point or another, regardless of what you buy, you will look back and say "I wish that I would have gone the other way".

The thing that many do not realize is how MASSIVE the Bronco Raptor is. A Wildtrak is a good-sized vehicle, however the Bronco Raptor has nearly the same track width as an F-150 Raptor (the Raptor track width is 8.6" wider than your Wildtrak would be - hence the giant flares) and the 37" tires are huge. My wife drives the 2022 4-door Wildtrak (which she absolutely loves) and we also have a 2018 F-150 Raptor, and parking spots are tight with Raptor and the extra width.

Its hard to give up the 2dr for sure because i dont need 4 doors NOW but eventually it probably would be the smarter move

More-Doors are definitely more practical.

But if you are going "practical" , then the raptor is completely the opposite of that. The practical Bronco is a 4-door Base.

See them in person. Sit in them. You'll know, then.

I love my 2-door. Yes, when I have 4 people inside and try and carry stuff it is cramped. So far that is twice in 60 days. I can live with that ratio...
