Defective WildTrak Decal on hood of 2022 Sasquatch with 20K miles

Hi All - I am having an issue with Ford. The decal on my Wildtrak has become splotchy and faded. Ford says its caused by caustic chemicals and wants over $500 to replace it. The only thing ever used to wash the car is RainX available at every Target or WalMart in the country.
Really disappointed that Ford is being so stubborn as this is obviously a poorly manufactured decal. Worst part is that Customer Service rep spoke to me in a rude and condescending way.
Anyone else having a similar issue? Any suggestions?

Remove it, clean thoroughly, and do not replace. Is it really needed?

Remove it, clean it, mask it off and spray a couple coats of matt black plastidip.

May not be anything you specifically used on it that is causing the denial. There are other environmental issues like acid rain, bird crap, other airborne contaminates that could've caused the problem with the decal, especially since it's on a horizontal surface.

Thats what I was thinking too. Ive also seen different types of windshield clears stain clear coat before too.

If the sticker was starting to peel with no signs of mechanical or chemical assistance, there would be a higher chance of it being covered. Ford is pretty stringent on paint and glass issues to where if it isn't caught within a few days of delivery or after the sale, they won't cover. There isn't a lot of mercy anymore with metal, trim, glass or paint.
