I am sure there is a better term than "hole" but thats all I can think of! (Easy on the jokes....).
Since there is a power port right there, it would seem to make life easy.
Or is there a mounting bracket that works with a dash cam.
Guidance please..

Try Tackform for their ball mounts as they make one for the Bronco “accessory ready” spot on the dash. If all else fails, get a dash cam that has 1/4 20 threads on the bottom. Vantrue has their E360 dash camera, that doubles as a 360 action handheld camera that has 1/4 20 threads on it already, and can be powered by USB C cables, you’d just need a double threaded 1/4 20 adapter I’m certain can be found on amazon, possibly searching camera accessories.

You could start with these two pieces and put together something I’m sure. Most dash cameras have some sort of ball mount in their kit, even if its attached to a suction cup of some sort.

If i knew what brand and model dash cam you had, I could probably figure it out. I’m pretty good at “McGuyver’ing” stuff together!

I'm looking for a mount for rear dash cam. I want to use the hole in the center of the roll over bar. Dash cam has a flat double sided tape so i need to be able to mount something with flat surface. Haven't found anything yet anywhere on all the searches. Bulletpoint doesn't have anything. I'll take a look at this tackform ball but i don't think the screw is long enough to get thru cross bar.
I have an 3d stl file from one guy and may go that route if i can't find something more elegant.

Hate to sound like a salesman, but the Vantrue cameras are very good with models for every budget. They’re also very easy to install and put the “hard wire” kit in. One of their hardwire kits you can plug directly into the OBD2 port in the car, and it’ll run all the features that provides, like the power on/off at startup/shutdown, as well as a parking mode that normally you’d have to tap into the fuse panel, or in your case with the dash power, would not otherwise have the parking mode available.

I have 4 of their cameras in my vehicles including the 2 N4’s, E3, and E360. All have their positives and negatives, such as WiFi phone control and download. You can also choose to upgrade as you go with remote controls, LTE connectivity, rear camera, GPS, etc in the future if money is an issue with your initial purchase.

Amazon...look up camera tripod mounts or GoPro mounts. Most mounts for cameras are a standard thead.

I am still looking for a dashcam. Tried the Ring dashcam but sent it back. I came across a Mangoal brand (on Amazon)in one of these Bronco threads. It fits nicely under mirror (and piggybacks on mirror power)looks oem, hard to notice and leaves your rail mount free for your action cam/gopro etc. I have not got it yet but it looks promising.

You can buy a mini picatiny rail and a USB port upgrade (for the front dash) and power it from there.
