Turbo equipped motors also help. They can bring on power delaying the need to down shift. But you drive a manual... you have to manually operate it once in a while... you’ll get used to it.

If only there was a transmission that could do these things automatically. ?
I've been planning on an auto all along, but lately have been toying with a manual. I just asked the question to see if things have improved since my 89 F150. In Western Colorado downshiifting for hills happens every few miles, kinda defeats the advantage of cruise in a manual, having to reset all the time.

I taught my son to drive on a manual, it has served him well in his career, since many of his peers have no clue.

I have a 91 Mits Galant VR4 and GSX both cruise controls work fine and disengage with the clutch or break with no rev. I imagine the Bronco will be the same way.

My 2011 Mitsu Lancer 237,000 miles is a manual. I use cruise all the time. Disengages fine when I use the clutch, works great, no issues. I expect the same with the Bronco (I am getting the manual). Guess I never thought about cruise and manual issues.
