Agree with some others...go BD, Squatch and mid. Mentally, it is a reasonable compromise where you get most of what you want right out of the gate. Then you can allow the aftermarket to catch up so you can tweak it in the years to come.

It was my choice, made easy because my wife hates the orange accents in the BL.

Relative to “time”. It’s not as brash of a decision as you’re taking it to be. However, if you’re spending time on the lower half of the spectrum (negative side) then you tend to become negative as well. I’ve raised 3 kids on my own for almost 20 years, so keeping the negativity away from them so they have a peaceful life was a learned process. Yes, they are pretty amazing kids and I was very lucky to have them to work with.

I knew your response was to the OP... I was merely stating my version in somewhat of a relevance to your post... no regrets

I’m in the same boat. All over the place with B&P. From a loaded 4dr BL to now considering a 2dr BaseSquatch. For whatever reason the tow package isn’t available for the Base. I know, that’s one of the easiest things to get aftermarket but why does Ford do that?

So lowest I could go was OBX. BUT OBX interior is a bit of a non starter for me soooo...

Please tell me what it is about the OBX interior that bothers you?

Seriously wanting information for my Tool-Box of Pros VS Cons of each model for my final decision.

Do you or anyone feel the SQ will be a human beater?

I love the look on any model with the SQ added but wonder how rough the ride will be in the seat of my pants, especially with such a short wheelbase?

I know I'm not the only one in here that is bouncing back and forth between a bunch of builds, but damn! I'm having a hard time making the final decision!

What I'm sure I'm getting: MIC top, 2.7l, 4 door

What I think I'm getting: Sasquatch

What I can't decide: Base (Velocity Blue), Black diamond (Area 51), Badlands (Area 51) (If I could get the Base in A51 I would already have submitted my order)

What I hate: Tube steps, Wildtrak cloth seats.

What I want but don't really need: Mid / High Package.

If I go Base or BD, I'm definitely squatch-ing. If I go Badlands, I'm not sure -- Probably/Possibly just stick with the 33's. I don't really *need* the high package, but the 12" screen and those extra cameras make for some awesome features. I'm not going to be doing any rock-crawling with this, mostly some sand + mud/rutted forest trails. I do like the looks of the Signature lighting, but they aren't a deal-breaker for me.

Price isn't a huge factor either, but I have a hard time justifying the difference in cost from Base-squatch, 2.7l, MIC, Velocity blue to a Badlands, 2.7l, MIC, squatch, high, Area 51.

Too many choices! I might just print out a few builds and pull one out of a hat.

What about you guys -- what decisions are holding you back from completing your order?
Seems like you have overlooked the obvious choice in your consideration: Big Bend which can be configured with Area 51 and very close to the base. Yeah, it's a little more but you said cost isn't an issue.

I posted this on a similar topic on BN but it seems appropriate here as well.
Deciding on which Bronco to order has been more difficult than deciding to get married years ago. So the machinations began with BB, BD, OBX, and BL.

START===> I always liked the BB because of the cloth seats and wheels, but it ticked me off that I could not get the 4A on the 4WD unless I went Sasquatch. Sasquatch concerns me about potential rode noise, which will be roughly 70-75% of my driving.

NEXT ===> BD & BL have the MGV and I can see that giving you swamp ass in the summer but the other config options are nice.

NEXT ===> OBX has the ugliest wheels I've ever seen but I CAN get the 12" screen and extra sound deadening. Even so, I just can't bring myself to buy those 18" wheels/tires and then spend more $ to replace them.

NEXT===> BL is pushing the budget for things I won't really use but does come with 33" tires which is pretty sweet but then there's that MGV

NEXT===> Drink Heavily.

Back to START, repeat.

Long story short: I ordered BB with Mid package, and Sasquatch but continue to question if that's the right build for me.

Yeah, I considered that but I just can't stand the camo pattern on the interior. That was a non-starter. And if I were to go katzkin on top of that I might as well just stick with my Black Diamond MGV! This is what I'm talking about!

I went 2.7L Badlands with Lux and leather packages to get the adaptive cruise and power seats. I'm skipping the sas because 90+% will be pavement driving. The leather/power seats also adds carpet and other comforts from a sound deadening standpoint.

I though about the wildtrack but I couldn't stand the blue accents and I don't have any real need for 35's

I figure if I decide I want bigger tires down the road by then an aftermarket company will have a better lift kit that I can go with.

I have the same feelings, what makes it worst is not being able to touch, see and drive one that would help with some of the decisions. I was going to be late 21MY, so I don’t mind waiting a few more months for the 22MY and at least there will be a lot more information available when vehicles start getting delivered to real owners and the feedback might be helpful.

My hairiest decision issue is the damn MT. I will not be rock crawling, and I mostly drive highways in Houston. I've always driven a stick. Learned on a CJ5. And if I want the Mid-package, which includes Remote-Start, I will have to give up the MT. I think I'm talking myself out of the MT as I type this..... I'm a little sad.
If the reason you want the mid package is for remote start in a hot climate, it may not be as good as you are envisioning. Both my current Escape and my wife's C-Class have remote start. The problem is that neither really starts cooling off in a material way until the vehicles start moving and there is better airflow than the AC system can provide at a stop.

The auto start experience might be better in a cold climate, but I can't speak to that living in Phoenix.

I'm getting a MT Badlands and the loss of auto start is not something I'm the least bit worried about.

I started questioning my order about 10 minutes after I completed it. I ordered 2 door BB, 2.7, AT, Mid, MIC. Now I'm thinking I should have ordered a SAS. Or at least the upgraded real axle/locker.
I believe I may have discussed this with you somewhere else, but I was in the exact same predicament.
Ultimately, despite the looks, the Sasquatch package was overkill for a DD. Also, the inability to get a manual with 2.7 (I'm sorry, but a 2.3 with all that off-road weight and plates just seems underpowered) was the nail in the coffin for that dream. If I'm going to get a "serious" off-roader, it needs to be MT in a future iteration. Lastly, the 2020 Explorer had 20 recalls. 20!! the Sport Bronco has 2 in two months, if/when I'm ready to spurge on this truck it's going to be in a few years when the inevitable kinks get ironed out.

I went with BB, 2 dr, 2.7, mid, cactus/sandstone, 4.27 axle, LED, toggle switches.

10 recalls, my error, on the 2020 (awful nonetheless)

Hate to laugh, but I did. It's the struggle that many are going through, myself included.

I think you made the right decision. Tires wear out and you can replace with smaller tires more your liking. Yeah, that's down the road, but if you're highway driving that will come sooner than later. You'll get a very capable rig with SAS, that's for sure. If you don't like the wider flares with SAS, I bet you'll be able to sell them easily and get the stock flares.

In the end, you'll end up with what you want, but... it might take a bit of time to get there. Good luck and enjoy!
