Wonderful site / etc. Members are very respectful of each other ….

I purchased my 24 Big Bend on February 28th of 2026.. so I’m very new , but tickled with my purchase. , Thoroughly enjoy this Forum , but I want to make some changes..
I’ve been following many talented woodworkers / owners on here building Cargo Covers! !
Admired @KRAKEN’s skills on his 4 door Cargo Covers, but was especially intrigued by Mirage’s take with using faux Teak , indoor/ outdoor carpet !
Well played, Mirage.
I took no build photos - better to surprise myself.
My bohemian design had three important criteria,
1. Cover my rear folded passenger seats, 2. stifle the road noise down a notch or three!
3. Still have access to floor storage compartments.
4. I also wanted it very light.

1/2” plywood cut to 41” x 41”.. since I’ve a fold down table , I kept the liftable section-very shallow as I can sit comfortably on the end !

I built a modified “H” platform using 1”x6” white pine. Cut off were utilized in the gape between the two folded seats for support .
I purchased a sheet of the faux teak wood carpet from Amazon .
The carpet has a 3M sticky back, but is useless on plywood.
I remembered I had som plexiglass substrate when I had door cards made on another vehicle. This also gave me some depth as I didn’t want to fasten thru the plywood and screw up the folded seat backs .
The to sections are butted up close but needs a small gap for lifting without binding.
My bohemian hinge is a discarded 44” L x 4” wide cargo strap . Lays flat and appears seamless.
So this is the result- be kind- 100% bohemian ..
But this cargo cover Checked all my boxes, solved all my concerns , & less than $150 -
Half inch aluminum strips finished it off !

Here’s the result!

Interesting take, I think a lot of us have or are looking for the best solution to maximizes the cargo areas usefulness. Do you have a full picture of the cargo area?

I would also like to see full pictures. I've done something similar, but it's not currently installed at the moment.

I forgot to add , when constructing the ‘H’ pattern , I utilized the hold down points to secure this in case of any unforeseen accident..
Thru bolted and very secure, tho not lockable ,
I just wanted a platform to utilize and protect the seats .
All three full size photos show my seating area .
