My hardtop is developing a long crack down the edge closest to the driver side door. It started small but has grown and started to separate. I took it to the dealership and they took a bunch of pictures but I haven’t heard anything back in over 2 weeks. They claim that nobody else has had this problem. Any of you guys seen this? Note: after they took the pictures, I patched it as good as I could. It was much worse.

It really doesn't matter if your dealer has seen it before or not. This is definitely a quality issue and they should replace your top under warranty. Be prepared for a wait, but there should not be any reason why this isn't covered.

Yeah, this is my assumption. I figured they only said that because they needed an excuse to drag their feet.

i am pretty sure there are more. the people that post here are just a fraction of the true number of owners. I wonder if Ford is going to replace the 2.0 tops like they did with the 1.0 or just the ones with issues. I am going to guess ford is going to keep their mouths closed on this and just replace the ones that are warranty claims like yours should be.

A little premature to be speculating if Ford will be replacing all the MIC 2.0 tops...

OP, do you have a zoomed out pic? Curious as to where exactly the crack is at.

Just wondering is all. again we are just a sample size too so if only .5% of the MICs have issues then theres no point to replace all. didn't mean to offend you.

The 2 larger ones run along the edge. The smaller one to the rear is vertical

Rather than destroy the defective tops Ford should just allow the dealers to sell them (cheap) to buyers who would like to Line-X and paint them.
Call it "second chance sustainability" or some other climate buzzword and they'd probably go for it.
