Rear tail light crack.

I was washing my Bronco the other day and noticed water intrusion in my rear passenger tail light. I noticed a crack on the top of the light. I stopped at my dealer today and they wouldn’t even submit it to ford warranty. To me it doesn’t look like anything hit the light, and the way the crack is forming it looks like it’s coming from the molding lines. The salt and moisture is on the inside.

What do y’all think? Should this be a warranty or do you think I’m on the hook?

I would just expect something more than a little crack. Like there is no evidence anything hit it. 🤷‍♀️

I can’t warranty your lights but I’ve got 3 sets of rear tail lights sitting in my garage right now, one set of not-bad-condition Halogens and 2 non-OEM sets in various condition that I could probably barter / trade out if you need something.

And Form is running a sale on their new LED tail light if you wanted to go that way.

Ford would very likely bounce that claim and say it was impact damaged. So it’s not surprising they didn’t even submit it.

How are the form lights? I like the smoked look. Are they decent lights (i have no experience with aftermarket lights)?

They work fine, easy to install, and I liked the look as well. My wife dug the animations - I don’t really care one way or another about that but I’ll take the win there

I checked my ‘24 Heritage that is always garaged and less than 2k mikes and guess what-I have similar cracks on both the passenger and driver side rear brake lights. Another Ford quality issue?

Look at mine. Same issue on my ‘24 Heritage-always garaged.

I looked again. It may only be part of the design that makes it look cracked.

No, It's different. Your lines are parting lines, the OP has actual cracks
I think all Broncos have the parting lines in them just from how they were made.
Either way, neither one is considered warrantable.

You’re right. I looked again and mine are part of the design.
