If you’re starting with GMRS, it can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it seems. I was in your shoes not long ago and found that starting with a reliable radio makes all the difference. For me, the motorola radio was a game-changer. It's easy to use and has a good range, perfect when you’re just getting the hang of things.

You’ll want to get familiar with the basics, like how to tune in and adjust settings, but the key is to start using it. The more you practice, the more comfortable you’ll get. Plus, it’s a great way to stay connected, especially if you’re out hiking or camping.

Newbie here. Also, a tech-impaired boomer, but willing to learn. Is there a consensus on superiority between Midland vs. Baofeng radio? My primary need would be standard channels for group runs, but the way things are going, I'd like to be prepared for more challenging scenarios.
