Coil Over question - Do I still have a SAS?

I'm not sure what the question was but I'll offer this. We do not make a different coilover for Sasquatch versus non-Sasquatch. The only reason our product descriptions mention Sasquatch is as a reference point for the resulting lift height. That lift height versus stock will be different depending on whether you started with a Sasquatch or non-Sasquatch Bronco. For what it's worth, once the stock coilovers are have been removed, there is no difference between what started out as a Sasquatch or non-Sasquatch, with regards to the remaining suspension components. UCA's, LCA's, upper and lower rear links, and all pivot points are exactly the same between Sasquatch and non-Sasquatch.

I guess while I'm at it I may as well throw in the caveat that Badlands non-Sasquatch is the exception to the rule when it comes to our product descriptions. These Broncos do have the HOSS 2.0 Bilsteins but they're slightly shorter, with a stock lift height that is in between the "base" HOSS 1.0 suspension and the Sasquatch-specific HOSS 2.0.

Also take note that all of these lift heights are somewhat ballpark. There will of course be variations for the weight of any extra equipment you have installed, as well as the factory configuration such as 2-door versus 4-door, I-4 vs V6, etc. We do not make separate coilovers for every factory variant, so the lighter variants (2-door, 2.3L, etc.) will sit slightly higher than the heavier variants. But there is adjustment in the threaded body of the coilover to dial things in if needed.

Thank you for your reply. I am having the ICON coil overs installed today, anxious to see the difference between the dirt logic I have on there now, the ICONs are adjustable which I think I will prefer.

The coil overs I ordered have the same SKU for non-SAS or SAS equipped bronco just with different lift heights. I was just trying to figure what to expect for lift since I didn't want to go shorter on the lift side of things.

Brought the Bronco home from the shop today and could immediately tell the ICON coil overs were a little more firm than the dirt logic coil overs, which I did not mind. It was not harsh at all. The ICON setup really soaked up the bumps on the paved streets and the little potholes in the road.

I also noticed that noise from the passenger side was gone, that "clunk" sound like something is loose. FabTech insisted that it was not the coil over and sent some parts to replace but any fix seemed to last a day or two and the "clunk" was back. I also noticed the spring on the passenger side had a lot more play than the drivers side, you could bang on it with the palm of your hand and it would sound like metal on metal. It was very loose in my opinion but the shop manager assured me that was just the nature of coil overs. I had asked that FabTech send a new coil over but that did not seem to be an option for FabTech.

The tech who works on my bronco and my Jeeps over the past 13 years thought the axle on the passenger side had play in it causing the noise, he seemed to think it was banging on the diff tube.

I took it to Ford 3 times and they assured me it was normal, I di look at one they had on the lot and it was the same as mine so I knew that was not the issue.

Normally I would have insisted FabTech make it right, but I really FabTech kind of soured me on their product with the customer service end of things. Not that they were rude, but that they wanted me to try this and try that, when this was really a huge waste of my time. I will just spend my money with different vendors.

I probably would have ended with ADS since they are local and about 15 minutes away, but they were all at KOH and I couldn't get an answer on availability. ADS did call me me back today, but I had already received the ICON stuff and had it installed.

I know one other member here spent at least 6 months going back an forth with Fabtech on a coil over before they finally replaced it. To me that's not how to run a business, send your customer a new coil over and solve the issue!!

I had a ICON lift and coil overs on a 2500 Ram and loved it, looks like it will be the same for the Bronco.

I have not played with the adjustments on the coil overs yet, have to see what setting they are on and play with it.
