Change tires?

To all you tire guys out there…i will have an OBX 4dr high package. My son has a set of 285/60r20s with some bad ass rims. Would you make the switch to those or stay with factory. Is it even feasible? Hes looking to sell them but will give them to me if i want them. Im not really a tire guy so i figured id ask you experts in here.

My personal opinion is any rim larger than 18" looks horrible on an off-roading oriented vehicle. So I definitely would not do it to my Bronco.

BUT, ignoring my personal opinion... 285/60R20 are 33-34" tires. So you shouldn't have any problems installing those on the Bronco unless the offset or backspacing on the rims are weird.

1. Does the rim fit the bronco?
2. Use 20” rims if you have no plan off-roading.

I personally do not like the Broncos with anything large than 17s... 18s are okay - but those OBX standard wheels are badass with a set of 315s wrapped around

20" rims on a truck/SUV like the Bronco is a no from me. Even if you don't plan on going off-road, it doesn't suit the vehicle... It's like putting a 14" wheel on an Audi or something.

Set should fit fine.

Enthusiast wheeling forum generally speaking won’t endorse 20” wheel for good reason. But the general public will think it looks great.

Mount em up and if you like em, do it. Who cares what people think. But definitely don’t go 22”’s

Edit: Offset matters. If non SAS OBX you’ll end up with tire poke less than +40 offset or so. My wheel is +12 and has couple inches of tire poke.
