Center speaker upgrade in B&O system

I used Hertz 100.3 in the dash for left and right and a DS18 replacement in the middle. Seems fairly well matched to me.

I find the B&O to be ok with higher quality music streaming sources. (like Apple music) Sirius sounds like crap.
I'm replacing my speakers this weekend with Focals to see if I like it. 4" up front and then adding the 6.5" pods in rear with 6.5" focals. I'm not doing the foot panel speakers right now and then may replace the subwoofer.

Can I replace the 3 front speakers with better quality 4" and the rear pods with 6.5" with good results without adding an amp or any other changes in the B&O?

Sure you can.
I did focal first but they were a little bright so I swapped them out for kickers and like them better.

Thanks! What would you recommend for the fronts and center, as well as for the rears for 6.5" in a Mabett pod that will be plug and play with the B&O amp?

Another alternative is the Morel CCWR254 for the center. It is the speaker I chose and very pleased.

Yes and i went active 3 way up front and no center:

I went with Infinity Reference 407s all around, a Kicker Comp R 8" paired with a Key 500.1 - it's a whole new world now. I am debating a pair of Memphis MJP6s for the front kick panels - their ultra high efficiency leads me to believe I'd hear some benefit even with stock B&O amp driving them.

Which ds18. I love the hertz, tried Polk but too muddy for me.

I installed Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 402s in all 5 of the 4" speaker locations including the rears while still running the stock amp and it made a huge improvement to the B&O system. In order to capitalize on upgrading the center dash speaker, you should select the surround mode in the sync4 audio settings for the best soundstage.

I have 1 leftover speaker that I'm planning to post on the marketplace when I get around to it.

They aren't super efficient but they sound great and are more than loud enough with the stock amp.

Hoping for some help here - looking at this thread and others I wound up going with Hertz 100.3 in the corners and the PRV in the center. At first I liked it but the PRV sounded a little "tinny" to me - wound up running in stereo to reduce the center channel effect. Was able to get my hands on another Hertz and put it in the center, but like others, I found it overpowering and bright. So looking for other options...@DD214 said they tried the DS18 - does it fit and sound good? Also might just put the PRV back in with a 300hz base blocker which I saw on another thread...

I just ordered 2 sets of the Hertz DCX 100.3 which are currently on back order. When it arrives I will have an extra one since I only need 1 for the center. If anyone is interested in getting a good deal for one DM me.
