Cardinal sin

I know I am about to do one of the cardinal sins on here but... My dealer said that their order bank is not open yet. I have yet to be able to convert my reservation to an order. Has anyone else had this problem?

Order banks have been open since Oct 13. I'd shop around for a new dealer and work with them to transfer your reservation.

I called Ford today. They weren’t supposed to be open and don’t open until the 28th. She said somehow some dealers got through and that’s why people got confirmation emails of their orders.

Yes you can order with your dealer, you could on the 13th, he just might not be able to put it in until the 28th.

Calling BS on that customer service person you spoke with. It was supposed to open on 10/13, it did open on 10/13 and a ton of us ordered between last Wednesday and now. Just sayin'. Also, many of us did not get new confirmation e-mails. Maybe those that were new orders, but a lot of us that already had orders and just re-ordered did not get another e-mail.

I think we all need to take a step back, breathe, and then sort this out with correct terminology.

Order - a new order, not previously reserved.

Conversion - an order placed with a previously unconverted reservation.

Update/reorder - an update from an existing non-VIN assigned order converted with hopes of getting a mythical unicorn 21 Bronco.

Annnndddd, continue to bitch, moan, groan, and complain once we all use the same terminology that has the same meaning so that we can all talk the same language.

I know it opened on the 13th and said so. I went and put my order in and got my newly signed MSRP on Wednesday. She just told me the dealers can’t put them in until the 28th.

I'm well aware that the order bank opened on the 13th. That is what I keep telling my dealer... I guess an in person visit is due, to sort this all out.

The issue is some sort of program problem while trying to convert existing orders or non converted reservations into MY 22 orders. An order placed “ right off the street” goes through without issue. The others are being hung up.

I stopped into my dealer yesterday and the explanation I was given was that the order banks were rolled out by region. Apparently yesterday was the day for my dealer. Whether true or not I was able to convert my reservation to an order yesterday.
