The article is a nothing article, stating the obvious.

They could be writing about any product that takes any amount of time from announcement to actual delivery and some will cancel. Let me know the next time you get 100 % sell thru on an item that takes more than the same day to deliver. The simple need for immediate gratification is real for some and others have real life event changes that call for cancelling. Ford will lose reservations for screw ups also, that's just the way it goes.

I'm in for the long haul and wish Ford would giterdone. I can't wait for that payment and the gratification that comes along with it. Oh, wait, yes, I can wait! I think! At least one more day. Ask me again tomorrow.!?

ITS IN THE NEWS NOW....... I’m out

?
You can bet Ford isn't thrilled to see this. It tells potential customers they have no hope of getting a Bronco for a long time. Cancelations have likely picked up and new reservations gone down. Seems like the same happened with Mach E and Ford reduced pricing.

You will probably see more people cancel if their estimated delivery date is unrealistic. Hopefully they get their deposit back if their is one. I’m sure some of us already have a go to vehicle in mind if need be. I’m not going to f—k around buying a beater until Ford decides when they can deliver.

How does anyone outside of ford know how many reservations are still active or have been cancelled? These claims are pretty meaningless without publicly visible proof to back it up
While nobody but Ford likely has hard numbers, someone may have enough access and leaking the info (think Webasto) and it gets to the media. Sites like Ford Authority likely have many Ford employees that tend to share what they know.

I’ll be waiting, too, but many of you act like the delays are fine and dandy. Even Ford would disagree.
All the discussions of people dropping their reservations or Ford messing up a roll out killing said reservation list...I don't know. We've seen less than 20 individuals on here actually post up the deletion of their reservation/purchase of a new ride. Lots of chatter but have we really seen a huge fall off, even with delays and price changes? Doesn't seem so. Lots of complaining for sure, but not so much on the cancellation. At least not here.
Most probably don't feel the need to announce they dropped out and just leave. In the long run, the percentage rate here is barely significant.

Not worried about the few who reserved out of impulse. It’s that same impulse that got them to cancel their orders. When I reserved my bronco I sold my car ASAP because I knew I was going to get the most money for it at that time. So glad I did, used that money to buy a motorcycle (paid off) and paid off two creditors. Now I am saving money for the bronco, the longer the wait, the bigger the down payment, and the lower my payment will be, also my credit score is getting better by the month, so this has been a win win win scenario for me. Patience will win the day!

Just more time to get OUT of current debt, so I can go back INTO debt all over again....thats if I don't get priced out completely, as my optimal "wish build" passed $50K, having to go back down to the Base with minimal adds as it soars past $35K at present, hopefully Ford WON'T toss a few more price bombs pushing it higher. Confidence is low on that!!

Hi there. Naturally you can get a better deal on a vehicle people are not standing in line to buy, but I think the mistake a lot of people make is concentrating only on costly top trim models. Why get Badlands or Sasquatch if you don't rock crawl? The base model is still a "real" Bronco, has removable doors & top, and despite what you hear on this site has pretty much all the common options and then some. Just today I read someone saying the base model doesn't have any creature comforts -- like what -- heated leather seats? I just rented a car with this and automatic everything I HATE IT. Have to go to a menu to change the temperature! I wish the base Bronco had less -- not more of this nonsense. Just me I know -- but seriously the base Bronco is pretty reasonable compared to most any SUV and is still pretty damn cool.
Yes. Heated seats and intelligent access (to start) at the $34.8k price point is what I was talking about. Automatic temperature is not what you hate, but rather how it was implemented. Bronco looks to have physical knobs. For that, you have spend more to move to Big Bend and opt for the mid package. This is something vehicles at half the price have and thus, reservation cancellation.

For what it's worth I am 1 of 6 people I personally know who reserved. 3 of them have canceled at this point. So 50% of the people in my circle.

Reads headline...”some” people cancel orders, reads story about some people cancelling. “Uh huh, yep some people have cancelled, this is true!”

“OMG whatever! What a trash article, who is Ford Authority anyways? Bunch of hacks! They’re probably ran by Jeep execs to make Ford look bad. How dare they even use examples of 2 people who cancelled and put ‘some’ in the headline? Do they even know what the definition of some Is?!? This is so ridiculous and disingenuous and these people CLEARLY weren’t really interested in a Bronco if they can’t wait, they’re cry babies!! Let them go I just moved up in line!!”

Obvious paraphrase without reading 8 pages but I already know I nailed it.
They do print positive Ford news over there also.

I have written here before: I expect the fall out at 50%. However, that still means 90,000 pre-sold Broncos for Ford. I was in the auto business for 45 years, on both the manufacturer and dealer side, and I have never seen anything like this. Congrats to Ford! I hope they can generate this enthusiasm and excitement for their future products. Also betting the next Mustang has a 4 door version that ain't an electric SUV. Look at all the Hemi Chargers you see on the road...

10 to 20 percent cancellation is a head line, some is not.
Some isn't a hard number. You may be over thinking this. Ford seems to have woken up in the past week. Perhaps, this could be one reason.

Blasphemy, they wrote this article so clearly they’re against Ford.
